Ruthie RIP

Yesterday marked the year anniversary of my Aunts passing. For those of you who don't know I was really close to my Aunt, we had more of a mother daughter relationship. I spent every summer with her in California since I was six, for well over twenty years! I even visited her twice while pregnant. This special women had such an amazing impact on my life. My Aunt was an wonderful example of a true servant of the lord. She gave so much of her time to others. In her callings, or through friendships she was always someone you could count on. I spoke to her everyday on the phone and our yearly summer visits meant the world to me. She shared in every aspect of my life and I in hers. I have often said it doesn't feel like my life with out her in it. All of my childhood memories involve her, you wouldn't think we lived states away as involved as she was in my life. As prominent as she was in my life she was as equally present in my children's. There was not a Christmas, birthday, or special event that she wasn't some how involved in. I feel blessed to have many special memories of her, although I am saddened not to be able to share things with her know. Not a single day passes that I don't think of her and the impact she had on my life. Never forgotten, RIP my dear Aunt Ruthie.

Park

While Richard was off the weather was pretty nice so we took the kids to the park a couple of times so Allison could ride her new scooter! She loves her Santa present so much and can ride her electric scooter wonderfully. Cooper also loved visiting the park he enjoyed rolling down the hill. It was really nice to see the sun and feel the warmth.

New YEAR!

Richard had Friday through Monday off and we decided to stay in town for the holiday. For new years eve we rented a bunch of movie and bought two new Wii games. We also stopped by the store and picked up some steaks, lobster, and ingredients to make a cake! Also we bought this little new years package with a hat, blower, and a pooper. Allison made a place mat for everybody with there goodies. It was a nice quite day and night. Cooper and I feel asleep a little before midnight but Richard and Allison stayed up and counted down and blew the lil poppers!

Christmas day!

We started out the day at my in laws. The kids woke up and ran to open presents. Santa left alot of gifts and of course the kids had many gifts from mom and dad to open too! Its so funny how long it takes you to buy and wrap the gifts and in 15 minutes its all torn and opened! What a joy it was to see them open everything we had gotten for them. Cooper is still fun to shop for, we just pick out gifts for him and he is surprised. Allison on the other hand when that child was 2 she started to carry around magazines of what she wanted, this year she picked out almost all of her gifts. We let the kids play for about 30 minutes and then we left to my moms for breakfast and to open presents there. At my moms all the kids set on the floor as we handed out gifts, what fun it was to see my kids, my niece, and nephews open there gifts! Then my moms traditional Christmas breakfast, yumm! For lunch we headed back to my in laws, and opened more of the kids gifts. The afternoon was kind of a blur for me I was terribly sick, but at least I was well for most of the day.

Christmas eve

SNOW! I cant remember an actual white Christmas in my own childhood. But this Christmas it was full of snow!!!!! We woke up to a beautiful cover of snow. Of course Allison wanted to go out and play in the snow. Richard and Allison got dressed and headed out to build a snow man. Allison was having a blast she would just jump in the snow or jump on the ground to make snow angles. Allison and Richard manged to build a small snow man. Cooper wanted nothing to do with the snow, "it cold"! We had a full day ahead of making cookies, wrapping more gifts, and baking at my moms. Later on in the evening we went to our niece and soon to be nephew in law house for dinner and presents. Lots of good food and of course presents. The kids had so much fun, and enjoyed all there gifts. I knew I wanted to see the kids reactions so I sat my presents aside just to watch the children. Cooper's reaction to his presents were priceless he gasped, squealed, and giggled! Allison was just as happy, she has been waiting for her American doll and counted down the days since Thanksgiving. The doll hasn't left her side since that night. I couldn't be more thankful for my in laws, what a great time we had together.

Baby Sanchez

This past Thursday while we were in Midland I had my first doctor appointment!! I have been so consumed with my all day sickness to really take in this pregnancy. Seeing our baby and listening to the heart beat was like wow this is real! To see the joy in Richards face was priceless. Not to mention I gained 7 pounds which I don't know how, everything ends up in the toilet! I also have a baby bump!! Which that didn't take long, I remember with Cooper I got a bump fast too! Dr said everything looks okay, although our baby was curled up and asleep it rarely moved for them to get accurate measurements. I go back to the Doctor on the 19th of January, maybe I will post a pic of my bump..
