Cooper is 3!!!

My sweet baby boy turned 3 today! I was blown away when I realized I gave birth to a blond hair blue eyed little boy. Not that it wasn't a possibility but with Allison being so dark, Cooper's coloring was a bit of surprise to me. I can thank my dad for Cooper's blue eyes! It took me one year to come to terms with being a mother of two. Cooper James has taught me many lesson's since birth. I learned that things don't always go as planned and to expect the unexpected. I have always been a extremely planned person but has since learned to have a more go with the flow attitude. When Cooper came into our lives I had to learn to accommodate my personality with his. Cooper is a very curious active little boy, who almost always finds his way into trouble. Allison was a really passive baby and Cooper was defiantly more high maintenance. I have without a doubt enjoyed every moment of my lil guys life. He gives me such a sense of peace, being his mother. Those blue eyes just melt my heart, I would do anything for that lil boy. It is such a blessing that each one of my children came to me at a unique time and have two separate but important meanings in my life. Happy Birthday my sweet baby blue eyes, and welcome to 3!

Cooper-man!

Allison thought it would be fun to share her snug Superman outfit with her brother. Cooper absolutely loved wearing the outfit! He watched the Superman movie over and over again. Richard would pick cooper up and fly him around the house. Cooper would say "I am Cooperman!"

Tuesday happenings

Today is my dads birthday. Every year on his birthday we visit his grave. I have never taken Allison to his grave, this year she ask to go. My sister's and I dropped are kids off at our mom's and load in the car with Allison to visit our Dad. I remember we had such a hard time picking his head stone, we weren't sure what to choose. My mom totally new best and said something simple and something that signified that he was our father. This morning was beautiful and I enjoyed the time with my sisters and Allison.

Today was also our bake/swim day. We invited a friend of ours and her daughter's to swim with us. It was such a hot day, it was so refreshing to be in the pool! After swimming and lunch we made an apple cobbler, it made an absolutely lovely smell through my sisters house.

Barbie Jeep

Allison was given her Barbie Jeep as a birthday gift from my in laws for her 2 birthday. At first she wasn't a very good driver but what 2 year old is? But by 3 Allison had her Jeep mastered, we use to take it around the block everyday to check the mail. Soon Cooper joined in as a passenger in Allison Barbie Jeep. Cooper is extremely content for now to let Allison do the driving! At age 6 Allison looks a little cramped in her Barbie Jeep but still able to drive. Cooper even loves to turn the Barbie Jeeps radio up and dance. Monday night Allison asked us if we could ride around the block, we loaded up and went for about half an hour ride it was nice.

New development

Tuesday afternoon one of Richard's co-workers saw an add for this brand new house in the newspaper. I got online and loved it, called and we drove to Hobbs as soon as Richard got off work. We drove back to Hobbs today and signed the papers for the house! I cant thank my mother in law enough for watching and taking Allison to ice skating and tutoring on such short notice. The house is 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1 living area, FABULOUS kitchen, 2 car garage!! The house is brand new it has tile through a large portion of the house, the kitchen has granite counters, also we have a gorgeous fireplace. The only down side is the yard it need lots of work, and its small! Also the good news is we can move in on August1st, so no hotel living for us. We haven't exactly worked out when we will officially move down there, because Allison has tutoring and ice skating until the 11th. But we are supper excited about are new lil house!

Another Weekend recap!

Friday I had a lunch date planned with my sisters! We try to get all together once a month with out kiddos and plan something fun. Well my mom was out of town and my sister Courtney's babysitter feel through but we manges to still get together! If you cant tell my sisters are my best friends. I really enjoyed our lunch together, we pretty much laughed the whole time and almost didn't realize that half of us didn't get our order! And my sweet niece and nephew were so good and provided much of our comic relief. We were having so much fun taking pictures and jokingly said we need a picture of all of us, and my nephew wanted to take the picture! And he did such a good job capturing all of us at his angle. After lunch we went to get pedicures! We all picked totally different toe nail colors! I had alot of fun with my sisters and my niece and nephew even had a great time too.

Harry Potter!! Its a silly obsession but Richard and I have seen every movie in theaters together. And we weren't going to miss the last one. Allison has seen the last few with us and begged and begged to see the last one. After a long talk about the content and nature of the movie we decided to let her go. We also went with three of my niece's and my two nephews. It was a spectacular movie, sad to see the series go.

Cousins!! This has truly been a summer of cousin! Allison and Cooper spent Thursday through Sunday over at my in laws house swimming and eating and swimming and eating! Its been such a pleasure to see our family this much, what a blessing.

The time has come..

We are moving. I don't think I have wanted to posted about it because it makes it even more real. Richard starts his new position August 1st, we turned our notice in July 1st and our last day in this house is August 7th. I knew moving into this house was temporary, I never allowed my self to get attached. There has been many complications with this move. We searched and search for a house for months. We didn't want to buy house knowing this move was also, only temporary so we decided to rent again, But NOTHING! We finally found something. This brand new apartment complex, a gated community. Its a three bedroom, has a gym, indoor pool, etc. I just really didn't think we would be down grading into a apartment, but like I keep telling myself its only temporary. The bad news is, it isn't ready until September 1st! So we are homeless for 3 weeks. School starts for Miss Allison on August 17. So looks like a week of living at my mothers and the two weeks of hotel living in Hobbs! This whole move has been extremely stressful, but I am choosing to rise above it all and take it for something better. Richard is getting a promotion and moving up with Chevron, and eventually we will move back..

She passed!

Allison has been enjoying her Ice skating lesson these past few weeks! Today they tested all the students to see if they would move up to the next class or repeat the the introductory class. Half the class passed. Allison passed and they even suggest her for not just the next level but the level after that! Some of the things Allison learned: how to skate backwards, how to stop, how to balance, how to bend while skating etc. She starts her next month of ice skating lesson's this coming Tuesday.

Bake and swim day!

Today my sister's and I planned to get together at my sister Heathers house. We decided to make strawberry short cake from scratch and then let the kids swim. Such an easy recipe and quick bake time. While we let the cake cool we decided to take the kids swimming! I had such a blast swimming, my sister even commented about how all summer she never seen me get that soaked! At one point I had 3 kids on me in the pool. It was amazing to see all the kids so comfortable with the water this summer. After about an hour and half of swimming we had ordered a pizza and then enjoyed the cake! I cant explain to you how good it was, I literally savored every single bite!

Weekend adventures!!

This weekend we had two birthday parties to attend. On Friday Allison friend from school had a swim party. I left the boys at home and took Allison to the party. I had a great time talking with adults, I guess I haven't had much adult interaction lately. It was nice and hot, and Allison enjoyed swimming with her friends. I actually think her favorite part was eating the cake and ice cream with her buddy's.

Yesterday we had another birthday party to attend. One of Richards second cousins turned 2. The party was held at the Mark park, but boy was it hot!!! Although the kids didn't seem to mind the heat, all the children ran around the playground. Also Allison and Cooper really enjoyed playing with there little cousin.
