Christmas day!

We started out the day at my in laws. The kids woke up and ran to open presents. Santa left alot of gifts and of course the kids had many gifts from mom and dad to open too! Its so funny how long it takes you to buy and wrap the gifts and in 15 minutes its all torn and opened! What a joy it was to see them open everything we had gotten for them. Cooper is still fun to shop for, we just pick out gifts for him and he is surprised. Allison on the other hand when that child was 2 she started to carry around magazines of what she wanted, this year she picked out almost all of her gifts. We let the kids play for about 30 minutes and then we left to my moms for breakfast and to open presents there. At my moms all the kids set on the floor as we handed out gifts, what fun it was to see my kids, my niece, and nephews open there gifts! Then my moms traditional Christmas breakfast, yumm! For lunch we headed back to my in laws, and opened more of the kids gifts. The afternoon was kind of a blur for me I was terribly sick, but at least I was well for most of the day.

Christmas eve

SNOW! I cant remember an actual white Christmas in my own childhood. But this Christmas it was full of snow!!!!! We woke up to a beautiful cover of snow. Of course Allison wanted to go out and play in the snow. Richard and Allison got dressed and headed out to build a snow man. Allison was having a blast she would just jump in the snow or jump on the ground to make snow angles. Allison and Richard manged to build a small snow man. Cooper wanted nothing to do with the snow, "it cold"! We had a full day ahead of making cookies, wrapping more gifts, and baking at my moms. Later on in the evening we went to our niece and soon to be nephew in law house for dinner and presents. Lots of good food and of course presents. The kids had so much fun, and enjoyed all there gifts. I knew I wanted to see the kids reactions so I sat my presents aside just to watch the children. Cooper's reaction to his presents were priceless he gasped, squealed, and giggled! Allison was just as happy, she has been waiting for her American doll and counted down the days since Thanksgiving. The doll hasn't left her side since that night. I couldn't be more thankful for my in laws, what a great time we had together.

Baby Sanchez

This past Thursday while we were in Midland I had my first doctor appointment!! I have been so consumed with my all day sickness to really take in this pregnancy. Seeing our baby and listening to the heart beat was like wow this is real! To see the joy in Richards face was priceless. Not to mention I gained 7 pounds which I don't know how, everything ends up in the toilet! I also have a baby bump!! Which that didn't take long, I remember with Cooper I got a bump fast too! Dr said everything looks okay, although our baby was curled up and asleep it rarely moved for them to get accurate measurements. I go back to the Doctor on the 19th of January, maybe I will post a pic of my bump..

Christmas party

Allison had such a blast at her school Christmas party. I had a friend watch Cooper for me since the note the teacher sent home said, no younger siblings in all caps! I had so much fun helping out at the party, and really enjoyed seeing Allison with her classmates. I just love her teacher, this has been the best semester!! Cant believe we are half through the first grade!

Ginger bread house

I forgot to add this post. This past Saturday the church had a ginger bread house decorating get together. People brought candy or cereal and the young women glued the house together and the kids got to decorate them!! I wasn't feeling well so Richard took the kids. I was surprised that he was gone for almost two hours, they must had alot of fun!!!

Guess What!!

Richard and I are expecting our third child! I was trying to hold off until next week to share. But, we were in town on Sunday to celebrate my sister's birthday my mom suggested I share the news with my youngest and oldest sister while we were all together. And since we were on a roll Richard had been dieing to share the news with his family. Then on Monday my sister tagged me on facebook and spilled the beans there! I wasn't up for sharing the news at all. I suffered a miscarriage in late August, which I have told no one about not even family. I guess its good to get that out, I was devastated. I was pretty hesitant to share our news just in case, but its out. We have an appointment next week and a sonogram too on Thursday!! I am 10 weeks right now, due July 7, 2012. I have been unbelievably sick, like the worst morning sickness I have ever had. Completely debilitating, so bad I rarely leave the house, just to take Allison to and from school. Richard has been Mr Mom cleaning, cooking, and grocery shopping etc. I literally couldn't have made it this far with out his help. I feel like I have let Christmas slide by my little family! I have usually done so many traditions by now. Heck I am not even done Christmas shopping! I mean I have finished my kids but not my in laws, or some of my family members. I am feeling a little better and hope that I can bring Christmas to the Sanchez house before we leave town a week from today!

Lunch and bowling!

We drove into Midland late Sunday to have dinner and go bowling with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday. Allison had a blast, she told me when we left the bowling ally that she would never forget this day! Also Miss Alli-cat got three strikes! Cooper on the other hand did better then the last time we bowled, but I couldn't snap a picture of him to save my life he kept dodging to the floor that stinker! Here are a few pictures from the day!

Snow Day!

Last week on Monday and Tuesday Allison had a three hour school delay because of the snow. We started the morning off with a huge breakfast! Then I bundled the kids up in there gloves, jackets, boots! They didn't last long outside, Cooper came running in because he said it was to cold. At least the got to enjoy the snow who knows if we will get any more.

Ice skating!

Of course we had to fit in a trip to the Odessa ice skating rink! All Allison could talk about all week was going ice skating. So Friday afternoon we traveled to Odessa and Richard and Allison ice skated for 2 hours!!!! Of course Cooper and I had our own fun shopping and eating pretzels.

Cousin Time

During the week we were able to spend a lot of time with my niece and nephews! We spent time at the Jumpy place, Chickfila, McDonald's, and we were even able to take the kids to the theaters to see Puss and Boots. Here are a few of the pictures from our adventures!

T-day!

What a crazy whirlwind of a day! I started the day off at my mom's baking. Dropped off food at my sister's headed to my sister in laws. Then back to my sister's. Then I ended the day standing in line playing cards at Toysrus with my sister Courtney! I hope we can juggle Thanksgiving a bit better next year because I just might go crazy!!!! My normal baking buddy (my sister) her son had pink eye so her little family stayed home, my step grandmother had a stroke so my mom and step dad were back and forth at the hospital. On top of it all my sister Jamie wanted to host Thanksgiving at her house, so we were all over the place. Anyway it was a good day but I didn't snatch a single picture, I stole these two from my sister Heather.

Breaking Dawn!

Wednesday Afternoon I headed over to my sisters house to help her brim the Turkey, it took us nearly 3 hours! It was alot of fun though, spending the time together. We grabbed dinner and laughed and talked! After dinner we (my sister and our husbands) all headed out to go see Breaking Dawn! I know I am nerd but I love the books and must see all the movies. It wasn't my favorite movie out of the series but it was decent.

Ice cream party

The Saturday before Thanksgiving we had our end of the year soccer party! We decided to go with an ice cream party! We bought tons of toppings and set them up so the girls could pick and choose. We bought chocolate and vanilla and who would have guessed that the girls only wanted vanilla! It was fun to have all the girls together! They had several servings of ice cream. After they were done it was trophy time!!! It was a wonderful season, I cant believe it is over already.

1st grade Thanksgiving Feast

I was surprised when I got a note sent home that the first grade would be participating in there own Thanksgiving feast. I was overwhelmed with joy when I saw so many parents and grandparents show up to bring items for the feast and also help serve the children. I had an easy job serving the rolls, what kid doesn't want bread? All the children where wearing some kind of head piece representing Indians or Pilgrims, they all looked so cute. Cooper was surprisingly well behaved, although he is so familiar with the school that he thinks we owns the place! Allison was pretty happy to see us there, and we enjoyed eating lunch with her and her classmates! It was a nice escape from the current tragedy our family was hit with that particular day. Spending that time with my kids reminded me how blessed our family is.

A side note, if you look real hard you can see Cooper in the back of the last picture sitting on the stage wearing his red pants.

Building blocks

Cooper and I have so much fun playing and building with his Lego's! Cooper gets so creative and builds the most wonderful things. Lately Cooper is all about height when it comes to Lego's. Yesterday we were building and it took us a couple tries to get the heights but Cooper demanded that I take a picture of his latest design.

A side note. Cooper is not always naked, he just normally undresses when he goes potty.

Wiggles

Cooper was watching The Wiggles Christmas and Allison and I had this conversation I thought it was so classic Allison I had to share.

Allison-The wiggles aren't handsome
Me-They don't have to be handsome
Allison-They do if you wanna kiss them!
