Pictures

Cooper is notorious for stealing my camera and taking pictures with it. He is actually getting pretty good at it. Allison loves to take pictures too. I caught her in the kitchen laughing and taking pictures of Cooper being silly. Cooper told me he he wanted to take a picture of Beckett and started taking pictures of me and my belly. Nothing new going on at our house just soccer practice, homework, and normal daily stuff. I have been doing a lot of shopping for baby items for Beckett, and for our up coming camping trip. Happy Wednesday everyone!!

Saturday and Soccer

Yesterday was another Saturday of soccer! We had a late game at 1pm. All day Allison was ready to play! We had all of our girls there for the game and they were pumped to play. We won the game 7-0!!! Allison scored three goals! As I was watching her play I couldn't help but see the huge height difference, Allison was so little compared to the other girls. Playing a year up has definitely been an experience for Allison and this season I think she finally found her grove. After the game we went out to a late lunch with Richards family. Its been really nice to get to spend time with them when they come to town. A few hours later we invited our friends the Balls over for dessert and card games. What a great time we had, so glad to have made some friends her in Hobbs!

It's a....

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Early on in my pregnancy Richard had mentioned that he didn't want to find the gender of the baby out. He told me it would be the greatest surprise I could ever give him. So for a long time I stuck with that. I was so sick and so worried that I would miscarry again that I didn't really care. The further I got in the pregnancy the more I changed my mind, and Richard would change his mind like every other day! We actually changed our minds on the drive to Midland this morning. I cant tell you how happy I am to know! I am such a planner and I care about details. It concerned me to wait that I wouldn't feel prepared, or I wouldn't feel like I knew our baby. Cooper came with us to the ultrasound. As soon as the tech put the device to my belly she immediately said "Do you see that? Its a boy!" Originally I thought girl, then a few weeks ago I noticed how low I felt movement and I decided the baby had to be a boy. I cried and cried, I felt so connected to our son. It was a special moment for Richard and I. I loved every minute of the ultrasound. Cooper was so proud when my mom called Cooper was yelling from the back seat "I have boy baby!" We let Cooper tell everybody the news at lunch with my sisters. And then when we went over to my sister in laws to let Cooper share the news again! When we picked up Allison from school she said "Do we know what the baby is?" Cooper blurted out "Its a boy baby!" and Allison said "Man I wanted a sister so I could dress her up!" At soccer practice she ran to her team mates and told them "My mom is having a boy! I am gonna have another little brother, another little turd!" I tried loading the sonogram pictures, but I could only get a few to load and I add a picture of me 21 weeks pregnant.

Two peas in a pod

A few days ago we were watching a movie right before bed and Allison came to snuggle with Richard. Looking at them melted my heart. It reminds me of a time when it was just those two in my life. Allison is alot like her father in many ways. Just last week at the Vday party a few of the moms and Allison teacher were talking about how Allison looks exactly like her daddy. Some of the traits Allison and Richard share, they are both seriously dedicated people, whatever Allison puts her mind to she will accomplish. They are both totally athletes, anything Allison does sports wise she is good at! Allison and Richard have the exact same laugh. I remember Allison was only a few weeks old and Richard was watching tv, he laughed at something so loud when he was holding Allison. I thought she was going to cry and she smiled! It warms my heart when I see a look my daughter gives me and it is the exact same look her father has. My sister use to say I bet you don't miss Richard during the day, all you have to do is look at Allison and there he is! Allison made me a mother and that little girl changed me forever. Being our first born everything is a new adventure with her. Kindergarten, soccer, friends, teacher conferences etc. Allison makes everything so easy, it is such a joy to be her mother. She makes it such an easy enjoyable job, and I am so thankful for that. I cant imagine anybody not meeting this child and falling immediately in love with her. I know I am her mother but every teacher, parent, friend tells me what an amazing little person she is. Anyway I know I got a bit carried away, I blame it on the pregnancy hormones enjoy the picture of Richard and Richard jr!

Park

Today was 75 degrees outside but windy! I knew the kids would enjoy a trip to the park so early on in the afternoon I mentioned to Cooper about going and he said something I didn't understand then it hit me he asked to go to the duck pond. There is a state park here that Cooper and I walked our daily 3 miles at for a couple months. It has a park and a little pond. We picked up Allison from school and headed to the park armed with snacks, water, and sand buckets! Words cant not give justice to the amount of joy I witnessed. The kids had so much fun we stayed at the park for two hours, don't worry I brought a book! It was pretty bad out with the wind but the sun was so nice and the kids were having so much fun it was a wonderful trip to the park.

Old picture

My friend posted a picture on face book today of her son and it remind me when Allison was 2 years old in nursery with this little boy. About an hour later she posted a picture of Allison 2007. When I looked at this picture I instantly saw Cooper. People are always telling me how my kids look nothing alike. Don't get my wrong I know Allison has dark eyes and hair and Cooper has blue eyes and light hair but my children have very similar faces!! Anyway that's my point of view!

Another soccer season!!

Today Allison had her first game of the season! It was cold, boy was it cold. I thought I had us all dressed pretty warm with all our accessories to but the wind just made it terrible out there! We were lucky enough to have Richard's parents and Richard's sister and her husband come to Allison's game!!! I know Cooper enjoyed running after Uncle Manuel during the game! Allison's teacher even showed up to the game! A short back story on that. Thursday night Allison mentioned she wanted to write a letter to her teacher and her friend Xavier and invite them to her soccer game. Back to the game, we were a player down and we had a new girl on the team that hadn't played in 2 years so Allison was expected to play the whole game. Our little girl did amazing, she played so hard and scored 3 goals. We won the game 8-3!! An hour or so after the game we went out to lunch with everyone. It was such a fun day, I just hope the weather warms up, it will be torture if we have another cold game!

Our Valentines

Monday Allison had her Valentines party at school because she had the day off today for parent teacher conferences. It was a fun party! Last year Allison was sick on her Valentines party so she was especially excited for her party. Seeing all the children reading there cards was hilarious. I really enjoyed watching Allison go through all of her cards and candy. I was trying to take pictures and I couldn't get Cooper to take a picture to save my life, he was being a stinker. This morning I woke up before the kids and jumped in the shower minutes later the kids run into the bathroom to tell me about the candys and gifts that daddy left them for Valentines. For years Richard has bought flowers for Allison and some kind of candy treat, last year he started buying some kind of toy for Cooper so he wouldn't feel left out. We also had a play date at our house, we made Valentines cupcakes and the kids played with there friend. It was a pleasant day, the kids got along extra well. Lately I cant get Cooper to take any pictures, but Allison was able to snap a picture of Cooper in his iron man costume. Richard made it home early to watch the kids for my parent teacher conference. Which went great, our lil girl is doing wonderful in school! My sweet hubby got me the Breaking dawn dvd and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. The kids went to bed early and Richard and I got to spend some time together and watch Breaking dawn.

Dr appt

Today Cooper and I drove into Midland for my dr appt. It was another easy appointment no weight gain, everything looks normal, and a beautiful heart beat. I didn't have anybody to watch Cooper so he joined me for the appointment. After the appointment we walked back to the car I sat for a moment and looked back at Cooper and I couldn't help but smile. Listening to the babies heart beat was so utterly reassuring, and when I looked at Cooper it just reminded me of how much I love my kiddos and what special little people they are. I got excited thinking about bring another little person into this world. I am definitely starting to feel better, although heartburn has taken over my life. Atleast I am not vomiting around the clock! Next appointment two weeks from today!!

Unordinary morning

This morning I woke up, like every morning I walked into the kitchen to start breakfast and to make Allison's lunch. I went to wake up Allison and she smiled so big , I always give her a good morning kiss. Nothing was different about this morning but I felt extra blessed to be that little girls mother. Yesterday Allison told me she had watched Lion King two at school because it was to cold to go outside. She asked if we could buy it, I actually forgotten about it, after Allison ate her breakfast she reminded me to get on the computer to look for the movie. We were sitting at the kitchen table and out walks Cooper from his room, with no pants on holding his blanket with a really sleepy face. I couldn't help but smile I love that lil guy so much he brings such happiness to me. Later in the day Cooper had taken a bath I dried him off and went to get some clothes I hear Cooper scootering down the hall naked! I am thankful for days where I am remind how very blessed that I am.

Sick!!

Yesterday Cooper and I went to the doctor, boy we were sick! Both of us had strep throat. Loads of meds later and after a few dose we are back on the mends! Cooper is like a new child, boy he was way whinny and grumpy! He is scootering around the house, and making messes every where. I am exhausted! This new year has brought us alot of sickness. Cooper had bronchitic a few weeks ago, then Allison got the 72 hour stomach bug, and know strep! I hope we wont be getting sick for a long time!! Excuse the mess with being so sick it took me a few days to unpack from our trip to Midland.

Soccer game, date night, and super bowl!

Friday after Allison got out of school we headed into Midland for the weekend! We were going into town to celebrate Richards dads birthday on Sunday. What a full weekend it was, and it just reminds me how much I miss Midland. I was in desperate need of some maternity clothes, I lost all of mine when our closet flooded. I had fun shopping for myself, I also got a little pampered too, getting a manicure and threaded my eyebrows! Enough about me, Saturday morning the boys got hair cuts and we we were off to my nephews indoor soccer game!! Then we all headed to Cici's for lunch, the kids had a blast! Allison's highlight of our trip was going over to my sister and brother in laws to spend some time, oh and of course ice skating! Since we were kidless Richard and I ran more errands and then went to a movie and dinner!! We haven't had a date night since October, I enjoyed ever second by myself with my sweetheart! Sunday Richard took his dad to breakfast and the kids and I went to church. After church we all headed to my moms for tacos!! Spending time with my family was so wonderful! We cooked, ate, laughed, made brownies, and played phase ten. Gosh just typing this makes me miss everybody! All of Richards family gathered together for the super bowl for dinner! My sister in law made my father in law and Cooper a cake. Cooper's reaction to the cake was priceless, he loved it. I am so glad we came into town it was such a fun trip, tell next time Midland!
