The Pappy continued....

So my little guy loved his pacifier. He actually called it his pappy. A few months before Cooper turned two I posted about how I had planned to take it away. Things got complicated we moved, Allison started school, Allison started soccer, and Cooper got sick many many times. Well cooper is on day 5 of no pappy! I took it away. It kind of happened on the spur of the moment. The week of Christmas I kind of decided I would try again to only give it to him at nap and bed time like several times I attempted before, but this time I was gonna stick to it! I did, and on Sunday Richard lost his pacifier. We were heading out to church and thought oh well we will deal with it when we get home. Well after a few hours of searching and nothing we decided he would go the night with out! Cooper cried for about 5 minutes, and fell asleep! Next night he did not cry but did ask for it. And here we are a few days later and still no pacifier, did I mention we found the pacifier that Richard lost actually we found 3 pacifiers the next day..... Cooper will occasionally ask for his pappy, and I just say he lost it and he goes on about his day. I guess we just whinnied our little guy of his pappy. Know to conquer potty training, definitely not as easy as taking the pacifier away!

This is the life!

I am really enjoying this little Christmas vacation Richard had a 5 day weekend last week and has a 4 day weekend at the end of this week. Allison being home from school has been pure joy. Most of the time the kids are getting along. The kids have been playing with all there new gifts, what a joy to see them enjoy them. I have been cooking extravagant meals, which I love! Sure there have been plenty of messes, I told Richard that I felt like I cleaned up more in one day then I normally do in a month. No major cleaning today, there are toys every where and were all happy! I am enjoy these special moments that occur in motherhood, this is definitely the life!!!! Yesterday morning we built an airplane and a movie theater with chairs, love this picture it shows how creative my babies are!

Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas we had! We started our festivities off at my sister in laws house for a fantastic dinner and opening all the gifts. Great food, great company, great gifts! As for Christmas day we always open our gifts in the morning, the kids had an absolute blast. Although my poor Allison had a pretty bad cough. Richard and I could hear her all night. At 8:00am we heard Allison coughing and woke her up and gave her some medicine and told her Santa came to visit us. We went in to wake up Cooper, but he was already up playing with his gifts from Christmas eve. And we told him Santa came and he cried and told us he wanted to play, when we told him he got his helicopter he ran into the living room! Cooper was so involved with his helicopter he didn't want to open any of his other gifts until he realized his helicopter didn't work. Allison probably opened her gifts in 5 minutes or less. It was a fabulous day we had lunch with Richards family, and the kids spent the afternoon playing with there gifts. I invited my little sister over for dinner, she made the ham and I made all the sides plus dessert. In all it was amazing Christmas.

Santa and Christmas lights

We have had a fun month of December trying to celebrate some of our tradition's. I thought I would share a few of those events.

Visiting Santa is of course a must! We first visited Santa the day after Thanksgiving. Last year Cooper was so frightened he held me with a death grip. When I tried to put him next to Santa for a picture he screamed bloody murder and was like a chimp and crawled to my other shoulder and held on to me for dear life! This year was a total opposite!!! Cooper literally ran up to Santa and sat on his lap. Allison of course was totally fine and happy to talk to Santa. Cooper looks at Santa and shouts, Helicopter!!! Santa seemed a bit surprised that both the kids wanted helicopters but has my daughter been the normal little girl, NO! That wasn't are only visit with Santa we saw him at the museum and we went back to the mall again.

On Wednesday night we took the kids to go look at lights!!! This year was so fun because Cooper was totally into it! We let the kids unbuckle and they set together and awed as we drove by every house. Cooper keep saying "Mama that a pretty house!" We even got hot chocolate at a stand by somebodies house.

Tis the season....

In Allison's words "Tis the season to be freezen!" She has been sing that all month! I laugh every time she sings that! I ask her where she heard that and she said Christmas is in the winter so I like singing it that way! It has been a strange month of up and down weather but mostly up! We have had many 80 degree weather days in the middle of winter! But it has been nice to be able to let the kids enjoy the weather outside. We have had a few Park play dates and many scooter and cozy coupe rides around the block. I am just enjoying it while it last I am sure the cold weather is on its way. Allison is wishing for snow for Christmas, lets hope she is not disappointed.....

Another party

It is hard to believe Allison first semester of Kindergarten is over! This past few months have literally flown by. Lets just hope next semester is the same. Today Allison had her school Christmas's party. Nothing to fancy just a book exchange and they decorated cookies. I thought I was doing good by coming to the school early, boy I was wrong that place was packed. I had a great time with Allison and I am excited to spend the Christmas break with both my kiddos.

Early Chirstmas

Because of my Aunts failing health my Mother is flying to California Wednesday and wont be back until after the first of the year. So we celebrated Christmas with my Mother, sister's/husbands, and all of our children yesterday. This has been a strange past few weeks. But we all pulled our selves together made a dinner and celebrated with each other and our children. I have to say even though things have been stressful with the roller coaster ride of my Aunts health I am even more thankful for my family.

Family

I guess I have been a little down this week, with Aunts failing health I haven't felt the urge to post. My Aunt is like a second mother to me, I didn't grow up with my Father around or Grandparents or family for that matter. Which is probably one of the reason's I am so close to my sisters, we clung to each other. I have been visiting my Aunt's in California every year since I was 6 years old. Even as an adult with children of my own we dont miss a summer. We would fly most of the time, usually the day after school got out and come home a week before school started. It was the most exciting time of my life. I experience so many wonderful things during those summers. It truly help mold me into the women I am today. The relationship that was built during those summers are ever lasting and so special to me. I was taught so many things: the value of money, hard work, manners, etiquette, educational tools, etc! I acquired life long knowledge that I am forever grateful for my Aunts. I have lost a lot of tears this week but I continue to pray for my Aunt and wait and see what the future holds...

Helicopter

I know the last few post have been about Cooper, but I had to load this video I recorded of him its priceless! Cooper's timing was perfect I had just heard some news that really upset me. Even though I thought by moving the ginger bread house he wouldn't mess with it, little did I know he would push a chair to the counter! My beloved Aunt is in the ICU and not doing very well and just to hear this news on the eve before the anniversary of my Fathers death was very unsettling. Prayers needed for my Aunt. Anyway hope you enjoy!

A Continuation of Destructo Boy

My Cooper bear was quite the little devil yesterday, his havoc wreaking didn't not end! He was crazy and I was able to document a few pictures of him. First while I was washing clothes (there's the problem, I have officially decided to stop doing laundry while he is a awake! Because my laundry room is in the garage which allows Cooper to get into so much trouble) Cooper decided to make him self some eggs for lunch. He pulled out the chair, eggs, fork, and bowl. All in maybe 5 minutes tops! And was stirring eggs when I found him! While I was cooking the eggs that apparently Cooper wantted, he was just a few steps away at the kitchen table being ever so quiet eating the ginger bread house!!!!!! I caught him red handed or more like powder sugar faced! Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to use powder sugar as snow, what a mess!

Destructo Boy

Monday! How thankful I am it's a Monday! I am ready for some normalcy in my life, and Monday means we have a schedule that needs to be up held. Oh and did I mention Richard is done with school this semester?! One more semester until he graduates, yay! And a full load next semester, if we've been able to make it through this past year one more semester is not going to hurt! My lil guy seems to be on the road to recovery, he is reverting to old habits! Destructo boy is back and wreaking havoc around the house and eating like he is a trash compactor. So glad to see my little guy is feeling better it was definitely tough seeing him so sick.

Ginger Bread House!

What a whirlwind the last few days have been. On Saturday we had a few things planned shopping for a birthday present, a birthday party, and a play at the community theater. Cooper conintued to have a low grade fever and a few more diarrhea diapers so Richard stayed home with the lil guy the enitre day. Allison and I spent the whole day together and throughly enjoyed each others company. We ended our night together at the community theater with my mother watching a White Christmas. It was a fabulous play it really put me in the Holiday spirit. Although my Alli-cat seemed out of it and feel asleep right after the intermission. We were woken pretty early this morning with cries from Cooper, another fever ugh! And then Miss Allison an hour or so later with a horrible cough attack and a tummy ache. Looks like we were stuck indoors for the day so I thought it would be the perfect time to make our ginger bread house. The kids had a blast and what a mess we made. Not to long after that the kids napped for over three hours

Poor Baby

My poor Cooper is still sick! He woke up this morning at 1am with a very high fever and was up until almost 4am. And then the alarm went off at 6 to start the day, gez has it been a long one. I thought I would chance going to lunch with Allison. Because she expected me to go and I didn't want to let her down. I figured Cooper already a few dose of his antibiotics and it wouldn't hurt, little did I know what I had in store on the car ride to pick up her food! I am driving down the street when I hear gurgling sounds. I quickly turn around to see Cooper vomiting! I tell him its okay and decided to pull over and he immediately vomits again. I am thinking holy cow I got to hurry and the little guy vomits again! So I pull over turn around and he like rolled his eyes and closed them. I totally freak out and jump out of the car and gently shake him and ask him if he is okay which he replies "yeeeah". Turns out the Doctor thinks he could have a stomach flu... WOW, what a day. I am glad the worst is hopefully over with my poor baby boy. And we can enjoy the weekend with Cooper recuperating. Hope you enjoy the picture it was taken on Richards resent Birthday.

Sick

Yesterday afternoon I noticed Cooper had a fever, the kid was holding a crunch bar in his hand and it melted! He was sluggish most of the day and wanted to be held, which of course I didn't mind! Cooper feel asleep in my lap and napped for 4 hours! But the fever continued when he woke from his nap. Although he was in pretty good spirits considering. This morning he woke up at 6am still with fever so I called the pediatrician he got an appointment. Once again my lil guy has Tonsillitis, for the 13 time this year! His Doctor recommends me get his tonsils removed after he turns 3. Cooper has always been my sick baby, Allison has only been to the doctor 3 times in her life for illness: 1 ear infection, cold, and eye infection. I had my tonsils removed when I was 5, I guess my little guy takes after me in this one single thing. Looks like its a day to give my Super Cooper lots of TLC!!!

Another Birthday

My baby sister turned 22 today! I love how certain days turn out totally unexpected! We were suppose to meet up at my moms for breakfast. And a few things made the birthday girl run a bit late and we started breakfast a little over an hour late. Although I had a blast with my mom and my other sister while we waited. Brunch was a success and we enjoyed our short afternoon until we picked up Alli-cat from school. My mother invited us to a Holiday event sponsored by her work at Miller's gym with pizza, candy/cookies, jumpers, and even Santa. It was unexpected surprise and the kids enjoyed them selves!! We finished the afternoon at Heathers with a cake I made for her! I love my little sister so much, I have always felt a motherly instinct towards her, I use to drive her to school, cheer practice, dates, you name it! I even taught the girl to read and write! I hope I have been there for her in every way that I can. Even when she locked her keys in her car, I have so much love for her. I love you Heather hope you had a fabulous birthday!

Weekend adventures!

We had a blast this weekend!!!!! It was one busy weekend, but every weekend will be like that until Christmas and I am okay with that. Friday night I dropped Richard and the kids off at the in laws to help put there lights up and get there decor out of the storage. And I went over to a friends house to help build our float with lights and decor! It was fun and I was glad my kiddos weren't there so I could help the other mothers with there kiddos. Saturday we decided to go to the Museum for Christmas at the Mansion. We saw many fun things like the train station room, let the kids play in the children's museum, listened to a small band play Christmas music, and even saw Santa (although Cooper fell asleep). My niece even joined us at the museum and for lunch! Saturday night I left the boys at home (mainly because Cooper was pretty stuffy) so Allison and I could attend and finish decorating the float for the parade. It was cold but crazy fun! It felt like it lasted hours, but Allison seemed to enjoy her self. We saw Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Santa, and Mario and Luigi! It was a fun full weekend!
