Current events

So I know I haven't posted since Monday, lets just say its been a long week! We are moving to our new house, YAY! I am sad to say Allison will be in a different school district then pretty much all her friends/soccer team mates and this means we will be in a different Ward at church, boo! Although I am so excited about the move, it gives me a chance to go through everything (we haven't moved in over 4 years)!Cooper finally gets his own room and we will have a HUGE back yard!! Not excited about packaging I am honestly not allowed to move a thing orders from the doctor thanks to all my back and neck damage as it is I am in a back brace pretty much 100 percent of the time know. Richard has just finished a week at his new job at Chevron, off to New Mexico he goes on Monday. I am now visiting a Chiropractor three times a week, lets just say the doctor has stated I am a jigsaw puzzle he is putting back together. I am in pain pretty much all day, but hopeful through continued visit with the doctor I will heal, not completely but anything will be better then the current pain I am in! This weekend is full of packing so I will move on with the California Chronicles on Monday, enjoy the picture it is from our min trip to San Fransisco at our gorgeous hotel. Happy Weekend everybody!!

Lazy Day

It took me a couple of days to get on here to post, we have been kinda busy! We have been trying to get all the repairs done on the house, including the air conditioner, the fire place leak, the water damage in the closet and the medicine cabinet, oh and the mold! Ugh, at least the air conditioner is working now.

So back to the California chronicles June 27, 2010

This was probably our laziest day out of our trip. We attend church of course which didn't start until 12:20? Had a wonderful breakfast and fajitas for lunch and then off to church. My cousin wedding was at 3:30 which we were unable to attend because there were no children allowed and we had no sitter for the kids so my Aunts left to the wedding and we stayed home. WE all took a nap and then I made dinner and I let the kids swim and play outside. Later I popped some popcorn and then kids watch a movie and had ice cream. It was a restful day.

Alli-ism's and California days

My Aunt Steffer has suggested to me that I dedicate a few blog post of some Alli-ism's. I have been told many times that my daughter speaks like an adult.

Yesterday when I received our package in the mail from my Aunt's I got my swim suit with a bunch of other miscellaneous items and Allison promptly said "Mommy know that you have your swim suit we can go swimming!" I told her that we had a busy day planned for tomorrow and that it might be a few days before we are able to swim. And she replied "Well mom that is not acceptable." Her comment left me speechless!

On one of our slower days in California Allison Cooper and I were outside. Cooper was playing in the play house and Allison and I were laying on the swing. Cooper was playing with a water gun and came by and shot me. I thought it would be funny to play died so I arch back and laid down motionless and closed my eyes. Cooper thought it was hilarious but Allison not so much. She said mommy your not dead that gun is not real. I still didn't move and Cooper continued to laugh, Allison finally said "If your going to act died then you do not exist to me!!" I opened my eyes and bear hugged her and told her if I don't exist to you, then how do you feel about gigantic kisses???

June 26

I shouldn't bore you with more shopping trips but I'll be short about this day! Since our closet flooded before our trip to California I had lost all my shoes but one pair of flip flops i was on a shoe hunt! My Aunts had bought many walking shoes at this custom place so we started our Saturday at this shop. Its really interesting what they do, one of the employees takes to you the treadmill and ask you to walk and they have a camera recording on your feet. So I walk and they record me walking. So after a few minutes of walking the y play it back to you and describe your arch, your step and some other technical things I don't understand. I am a little embarrassed to say I don't actually remember what my feet were diagnosed with, but I walked out with two pairs of shoes, perfectly matched to my step!!! Then we headed to the mall to have lunch and shop. We stopped at a few shops and then ended in Macy's where i bought some amazing dress shoes and some Kenneth Cole flip flops. Some how we ended up in the purse section. My Aunt and i have this running joke about Coach purse since we visited New York (maybe one day I'll blog about it) anyway the had some amazing purses and a pretty good sale going lets just say I walked out of the store with a Coach purse that was calling my name! Then to the Clinque makeup counter, like I need to go into detail but I will I have very sensitive skin that I have to have particular makeup and lotions and deodorant. On our way out of the mall we saw this place that did eyebrow threading????? Lets just say my Aunt and I decided to give it a try. Interesting and not as pain full as waxing with a thread they pull your eyebrow by the root, well I am not even gonna begin to explain it but it was fun!! End of our shopping trip we stopped off to enjoy some ice cream at my favorite place Frosters Freeze, yummm!!!!! I am not sure if I mentioned the kids followed around in there two seater stroller and behaved wonderful until Cooper had a melt down at the end of our shopping trip, Allison only cried when she saw a soccer shirt and started whining about missing her daddy! I couldnt find a picture that went with this post from our trip, so I thought of adding one from last years trip to California.

California dream's

June 24 and 25
I had another chiropractors appointment and the kids and I played outside most of the day. What a wonderful kid friendly yard my Aunt's have, the children had a blast playing there: running around, riding the scooter/cars, watering the garden, playing in the play house, or swinging on the swing!!!! And for dinner I made spaghetti Allison and Cooper's favorite meal, I made enough for leftovers for lunch the neck day and we dined on ice cream for dessert. Oh and I have mentioned that every night thus far my Aunt and I had stayed up playing cards or domino's for a at least 2 hours.
Friday the 25 we went back to the outlet's and shopped a little more. I bought a new swim suit and Jacket for the cold bay wind. Also shopped at Banana Republic!! Took the kids back to Carters and bought Cooper some sunglasses and Allison a dress for church on Sunday!! Then we ate at my favorite hamburger place, In and Out burger YUMMY!!!! I think we ate there a total of 5 times this trip! Most nights and occasional mornings we would go to the park around the house to take my Aunt's dog Diego to walk. The kids loved the park and unfortunately I didn't snap any pictures of this assume park!

"It hot!"

I guess I am going to take a break today from California chronicles, due to the fact I have soooo many pictures to add to each blog and my wonderful aunt mailed my package out a few days ago and should be here soon. Our air conditioner is still not working and all the silly technicality's are ridiculous but hopefully tomorrow or Friday it will be fix in the mean time my lil guy keeps getting naked and telling me "it hot!" So here is Cooper watching Ghoustbusters and dancing in the nude...............

Califonia, Cousin, and Constant shopping

While I write this post we are currently sitting in a 91 degree house with no air conditioner and the prospect of a new one is looking bleak (thank you home warranty company.) But while I am sweating my hinny off and the kids are napping I figure I would continue on my vacation chronicles!

June 22 and 23, 2010

Have I mentioned how beautiful Sonoma County California is? The greenest part of the country that I have ever seen. Hills and mountains represent all forms of the scenery. The constant cool bay breeze is heavenly! Our first full day in California was pleasant, my second cousin's came to play and kept the kids busy. We enjoyed pizza on my Aunts new cemented back yard covered in beautiful umbrellas and nice seating area's as we ate our pizza and then played domino's for a couple hours. It was a wonderfully calm day. The next morning we awoke to huge breakfast graciously cooked my my Aunts, off to my chiropractors appt and then we came home picked up the kiddos and my cousins and head off to the outlet mall which began our shopping extravaganza!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way I took tons of pictures but unfortunately I filled my entire memory card and put it on a CD while I was there so I could have a clean memory card to take pictures in San Fransisco. My Aunt is mailing me the CD should be here at the end of the week so I can actually post some corresponding pictures with each blog!

Airplanes

Day1~

June 21 2010, I flew to California with my two children......... ominous music is playing, don't you hear it???

We had a a 1:30 flight out of Midland and a layover in Las Vegas with about an hour delay and we had to change plans and then we would fly directly to Oakland. Let just say everything didn't pan out so perfectly. Although we made it to the Midland airport with plenty of time to check in potty, kiss daddy goodbye and buy the kids some juice and watch the planes fly by. We were lucky to have the early bird check in with an A boarding pass we were like fifth in line made it on the plan fairly easy found a seat close to the front for the three of us. Buckled the kids in, no one screaming. All aboard, Allison and I chewing gum Cooper seating back with a sippy cup in hand and a pacifier in his mouth. The plan lights dim and we start moving Cooper moves around gets up crawls in my lap sits down and lays back on me, we take off and to my surprise my wild little guy is peacefully sleeping on me. Allison is holding on to her lamb and I tell her to grab her bag and pull her coloring book out and colors mommy was going to close her eyes with Cooper. We sleep almost the entire flight to Vegas and wake up the last 15 minutes of the flight PERFECT!!!! We gather our things and leave the airplane make our way to the monitor to check on our next flight and we are delayed and hour and a half, boo!!!! Lets just say the terminal is horribly busy and no seats left at our gate double boo. I have one active little guy who woke up from a nap and wants to RUN!!! I get us a seat at a table across from our gate, and pull out the DVD player hoping Cooper will watch, lets just say mommy played the catch your kid before he runs in the busy hall way of a million people game over and over again. Then we played the game I am hungry for food that's on the other side of the airport and I have to hold my naughty 23 month old and my daughters hand with our carry on luggage and then walk all the way back with food. The longest 2 and half hours of my life. Fast forward to waiting in the line to get on board for 45 minutes with Cooper in my arms wiggling to get out and kicking, fun fun fun! Finally where on borard and 30 minutes of passengers have seated and where taking off and the naughty boy falls asleep again, HEAVEN!!!!!! We made it to our destination and I couldn't have been happier the worst part was over, we would thankfully have daddy for the flight back, YAY!!!!!

Fathers Day~ 2010

Three weeks ago exactly it was Fathers Day!!! I was unable to post due to our impending vacation and also because we were visiting my father in law and my step father. So I would like to dedicate this to my wonderful husband and I'll begin. Weeks before Fathers Day Richard had hinted he wanted a new phone which was important because his new job will be taking him out of town and a phone would be necessary. So I told Richard to do some research and pick out a phone, of course I gave him a budget to stay under. It didn't take him to long he busily searched the computer found the one he wanted and ordered it. So for this particular Fathers Day I woke up early with Allison. I ironed his church clothes (which I only do twice a year on his bday and fathers day only if those days fall on a Sunday) and we made Richard cinnamon rolls and had hidden a mountain dew (one of his favorite drinks) for him to drink. Made the final touches on his card and woke Cooper up to participate to wake up daddy!!! Then we got ready for Church and day field with family.

I have to say that I am one lucky girl, my husband is one amazing father to our children. I'll never forget when our daughter was born and I was just plum exhausted from the delivery Richard immediately cared for our daughters needs; changing her, hold her, talking to her. He is the type of father up in the middle of the night when our newborns would cried or fuss. He has never missed a well or sick doctors visit. He has attending every soccer game, school program nothing interferes when it concerns to his children. With my back and neck injury I didn't think Richard could step it up anymore than he already had but he blew me away with caring for Cooper and fulling both the children's needs beyond my expectations. Hope your Fathers Day was everything you wanted it to be, love you Richard!
