Girls Night

Rarely do Allison and I have a girls night. After Cooper was born I made it a point once a week do be alone with just Allison. We would go to the park, get ice cream etc. After awhile it kind of tapered off, Cooper got bigger and was more involved in the family. And we began doing family outings to the duck pond, park, or the library. My lil Kindergartner is getting so big and is away from her family alot these days, and maybe its time to pick our girls night up again. Last night Richard and Cooper left to Grandma's to help get ride of there old stove. Allison and I enjoyed a private dinner together, which she help prepare with the cooking and setting the table. We then watch Handy Many Christmas, played a few Wii games together, and backed cookies. It was awfully quiet and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute with her. To my first born, my only daughter the joy that you bring to my heart surpasses the moon and stars. Your sweet spirit has changed my heart and the reason for living my life, I love you. I have a tradition I started with Allison when she was 19 months old, I take her picture right by the Christmas tree.

Saturday evening

What did we do Saturday night you ask??? The Sanchez Family put up the Christan tree!! Wow what a difference a year makes. Cooper was so enthused about the tree and told me "Mama, that pretty!". Allison of course was her usual helpful self taking everything out of the boxes and helped put all the ornaments on the tree, of course I had to rearrange a few since there were none on the top half of the tree! We also put up our Christmas decor, and Cooper loved that! We have a snowman and a light up present. Every morning when Cooper gets up he immediately goes over and turns on the snowman and present. I am pretty sure soon he will realize that one of the light switches will turn on the tree...

Thanksgiving 2010

What a happy Thanksgiving it was!!! I swear once we started cooking yesterday morning time just flew, hours literally past by so fast. I enjoyed every minute cooking with my sister's! And this year the kids got along pretty well while we cooked and no major melt downs. Although we deiced that from know on we are going to alternate the actual Thanksgiving day meal time every other year. Because three of us sister have our in laws meals at the exact time as our family meal and would actual like to make it to the in laws for once! So we are going to switch between lunch and dinner meals!!! After we left the in laws Cooper fell asleep and napped for a few hours and so did I!! And later after we rented movies and ate dinner I went shopping with two of my sisters to the 10pm sale at Toysrus, crazy right?! We got there at 7:40pm and were about 20 people away from the door and man did that line go on and on!! We all got what we needed it was crazy fun madness and probably stumbled in the door around midnight! Wouldn't have changed a thing about Thanksgiving, so truly thankful for my family!

School Feast

Today Allison had her Kindergarten Thanksgiving Day Feast. Allison class doesn't have much parent involvement, her teacher even asked me to volunteer for the feast and make the Ham. So I had a busy day making the ham and four dozen crescent rolls. Thank goodness my in laws took Cooper for the afternoon because there was no way I could have handled everything with a two year old running around! Richard and I where able to attend Allison Feast. There were only one other Parent, the three teachers, and Richard and I to make the food and serve 58 plates. The children were dressed so cute there were many perfect picture moments and we even attend the school awards ceremony! What a day at Allison's elementary school!!!

Ready!

Wow, its been a few days since I posted! We had a wonderful weekend full of a baby shower, birthday party, family visits, and a family BBQ! I am truly ready for Thanksgiving! Allison has school today and tomorrow and then Wednesday begins bake day!!!! I went with my sisters and there kiddos to shop for all of our turkey day supplies! My oh my was that crazy fun!! I seriously couldn't stop smiling! There were tons of people out and about even at 10am! And with us three girls and four kiddos and one cart it was more then an adventure to get around the store and get what we needed! I think my favorite part about Thanksgiving is preparing and cooking the food, I honestly love getting together with my sister Courtney and baking and cooking. We try new recipes here and there and experiment its just so fun!!! But of course I LOVE to eat the food! Bring on the Turkey!

Alli, Ryu and Cooper playing Wii

My lil Niece being her ever SOOO cute self was jumping off the coffee table...

I have had the best example of how to be an Aunt thanks to my two favorite Aunties or as I call them my California Mommies. Today was a busy day like normal: grocery store, daily walk, parade meeting, and then I picked up my sister and her kids. My sister and I had this big ole plan for our Bake day, but it fell through we were both just exhausted so I planned a simple dinner. The kids had a blast and my sweet nephew came with me to pick up Allison from school. Which Allison thought was the coolest thing and she squealed with delight as they held hands walking back to the car. I am very close with my sisters and it is a delight to spend time with my niece and nephews! There sweet spirits fill my heart with so much joy. Enjoy a few pictures of today's adventures!

~Sick babies~

After the turkey shoot out Allison came home with a slight runny nose. I didn't think much of it because there was tons of dry dead grass being kicked up. The next day I noticed she had a crusted eye but it wasn't red I cleaned it up and went on about the day. Well Monday morning I wake Allison up and get her ready for school, feed her breakfast, made her lunch and right before it was time to leave I fixed her hair. Not tell that point did I notice her eye was RED! So I ask her if it bothered her and she said it didn't hurt but was covered with gunk that she had to clean. I think it could be pink eye, so I call the school and get an appointment at the doctors office. With Cooper in tow we head to the Doctors office. Of course we wait forever. The doctor looks at and doesn't think it is pink eye for sure but think it could be conjunctivitis due to her cold I ask him to look at Cooper who also as a cold and it ends up that he has an ear infection! We leave with a few prescriptions and stop by burger king on the way home. We had a nice lazy day together. Cooper even took a nearly 4 hour nap!! This morning I wake up Allison and it looks like her other eye is infected too! So another day she stays home. Although today I made waffles, bacon, and eggs! After that the kids wanted to watch Toy Story 3 so they set them selves up in Allison's room. Another lazy day at home!

Turkey Shoot Out!!

We survived the turkey shoot out!!!! The morning was freezing but it warmed up a bit and was pretty nice by our last game! The girls had a blast between games playing at the park and eating pizza! We did better then last year and actually won one game this year opposed to losing all our games last year. Allison played amazingly Richard and I were so proud of her!!! I am sad to see this season end not know what the next season has in store for us but it was a fun ride, YAY Bumble Bees!

TGIF

Since I have been a stay at home mom my days really ran into each other especially when Cooper was a newborn. Now that I have a child in school, I seriously look forward to the weekends! It is a much need break from the constant planning breakfast, lunch, grocerie store runs, picking outfits, washing clothes, soccer practice, study time, bath time, bed time, and morning routines etc! This weekend is our last soccer game of the season, the bumble bees are in the Turkey Shoot out and have 3 games tomorrow. And I am desperately looking forward to the season ending for a much need break! Here is a picture of my recent craft of choice, glitter candles! I needed a center piece for my kitchen table and had some left over glitter since I never glittered my pumpkin and thought candles would be a cute idea. Hope we can handle the seriously cold weather tomorrow at our soccer games, GO Bumble Bees!!!!!

Blue Marker

I realized that yesterday was my 100 post!!!! It only took me over a year hahaha! Anyway I seems I am always a day behind posting about what happens but here I go... Last night I was making dinner and my little sister was on her way over to pick up an ingredient for the dinner she was making. Cooper was coloring nicely on the table and I was slicing chicken and I finished and turned to look at Cooper who promptly said "Oh, no!" I actually screamed when I saw him! He colored his forehead, hands, tummy and table with blue marker! I asked why he had done that and he cried "I don't know." So I got a lil make up mirror to show him what he had done and he straight up cried tears when he saw him self. I actually had the camera in my purse by the table and I thought this lil guy is in trouble but I want his Daddy to get a glimpse of how bad this was. I took the picture and Cooper even lifted his shirt to show off what he had done! I must have used 6 wipes and bathed him and that stupid washable marker wouldn't come off!!! So Cooper continued today with blue remnants of marker still on his forehead. Although I gave him a bath tonight and the rest finally came off! Right before bed I was letting the kids play in Cooper's room while I was washing the dishes and I had asked Richard to put a load in the dryer he quietly came and got me so I could look at what the kids were doing. Allison was sitting on the coffee table reading Cooper a book it was so cute I had to catch a picture.

~stool and shampoo~

I know some days my blog topics can bounce around. I literally write about what is happening around me and as of recent Cooper is in his mischievous phase again and so I blog about it! Yesterday I was working on laundry and I come back in to the kitchen and find Cooper trying to climb the counters to wash his hands. I finally got ride of the little stepping stool he gets him self into so much trouble pulling that out unlocking doors and getting into cabinets, so lil guy mama is one step ahead of you for know. And this other picture was taken after my two terrors had seriously made a number on the bathroom while I was pulling there towels out of the dryer. Lets just say all the water in the tub was on the bathroom floor and Cooper emptied an entire bottle of shampoo all over the bathroom. And I ask Allison why when you want something Cooper has you always win by taking that toy back but when your brother is pouring shampoo all over the floor you cant stop him..... So I pulled both kids out of the tub got on to both of them lade them on there floors of there rooms and spent 20 minutes cleaning the bathroom. When I went to get Cooper dressed he got up and huged me and told me "Sorry mummy, I want bubbles." Who could you be mad at that sweet lil boy. So I gave in put a movie on for them and popped some pop corn!!

Lazy Day

We had a nice uneventful weekend. My back and neck have been acting up again I could barely move around on Friday. I am trying to take it easy so I have less days of totally pain and no function. Poor Cooper had a little fall cold this weekend that he ever so nicely passed it on to me! We stayed in doors almost the entire day Sunday. Cooper had a low grade fever and I just felt like poo, doesn't Mommy deserve a day off especially when daddy is home to take care of kids and all! Its Monday and its time to prepare for the week of soccer practice and school work for Allison. Although Cooper and I have been lounging around all day......

Thankful

Gosh three weeks from today it will be Thanksgiving. I didn't make that connection until late today when I was already feeling pretty thankful. Some times life can get you down but I am reminded of a song~Count your blessings name them one by one... Today I am ever so grateful for family. I am so lucky to have a lot of family. I have the best in laws, we might not always see eye to eye on certain things but I couldn't ask for better people to love my children. My mother in law went and bought Cooper a 50 dollar toy why literally because he wanted it just because! My sister and brother in law dressed up for Halloween out of pure love for my daughter and that nearly brought tears to my eyes. If any one knows me I am an emotional person, I lead with my emotions. The love I have for my babies is infinite, I could not live a day on this earth with out them in it. I live and breath my children. I also have to give a shout out to the best Aunties in the world, I dare you to find better. No one loves me more or does more for me than those two women! I grew up in this world with out grandparents, with out my father around but I was immensely blessed with Aunts that love me unconditionally. So there you have it, I am so very thankful for my family. Enjoy the pictures of the kids that made me smile taken on a beautiful afternoon in the middle of fall!

Moving.....

Earlier this year I new when Richard accepted his internship with Chevron in New Mexico eventually we might have to move. I knew deep down that the people in New Mexico at Chevron would fall in love with Richard and his dedication to his job and that is exactly what happened. Richard received his official job offer last week with Chevron starting May 23, 2011 in Eunice New Mexico. Unfortunately Chevron has a policy that you have to live with in 50 miles of the placement and Midland doesn't cut it! So we will be moving..........

Today is........

The love of my life, my better half's Birthday!!!! I'll share a quick memory 11 years ago on our first time to celebrate this holiday of Richard's birth we went to a movie. If my memory services me correctly it was a week day and we took your nephew with us to see Mr Gadget. I remember thinking what a lame movie but I knew you loved your nephew like a brother and I was happy to just spend the time with you. And yeah I was a broke teenager and got you a card for birthday which you still tease me about! I remember the sweet moments we stole during the movie while we held hands. Also that night was the first time I meet your parents those many years ago....

Wow a few years have past and were spending another one of your birthday's together know we have two adorable replicas of you oh and a cat which has been our family pet since you brought him home when I was 8 months pregnant with Cooper. I think my love has grown some much for you in the past few years. We literally grew in front of each others eyes, I have so much respect for you as we have reached for our dreams together. Happy Birthday Richard, my soul mate.
