Allison's 7th birthday party!!

Allison party was a success! We rented the pavilion at a state park here in Hobbs for Allison's party. My in laws drove into town for the party and they were such a huge help to us.  We also rented a jumper for the party.  The water balloon's and water guns were such a huge hit at the soccer party last week we thought it would be fun at Allison's party too.  We had about 20 water guns and maybe 250 water balloon's for the kids to play with.  The kids enjoyed pizza, cupcakes, and of course the pinata.  I didn't get many pictures of the decorations or the beautiful view of the pond that was directly in front of us, but I got a few good pictures of Allison enjoying her party.  I am so thankful to the people that showed up to help us celebrate Allison birthday.  After the party my in laws took the kids swimming they had rented a hotel room for the night so they could have some fun at the casinos.  Allison said she has the best day ever and loved her DSI that my in laws bought her for her birthday!  After swimming Cooper walked into the house grabbed his blanket and conked out on the couch while we were unloading the car, apparently no nap made one exhausted little boy!

Good bye Kiss

Cooper was pretty upset this morning when he blew Allison a kiss and she didn't blow one back.  Every morning we wait in the car line to drop Allison off at school, this morning she noticed her friends car in front of ours and was super excited to get out of the car.  When I told her to have a good day and I loved her she answered back with an I love you too.  But when Cooper said I love you Alli and blew her a kiss she had already shut the door to run after her friend.  Cooper cried and pouted then he said "Allison didn't blow me kiss!"  It would be a rare day if Cooper didn't ask me several times if its time to pick up Allison from school.  I truly appreciate the love they have for each other, and it makes my heart swell when I see them getting along.

Outdoor fun!

When I saw the forecast for this week I knew we need to do some yard work and get the pool out for the kids.  Today's high was in the 90's and I promised the kids they could swim.  Cooper asked to pick up Allison from school starting at 10am, I tried to fill his day up until 2pm came around!  Today marks the first official swim, of course I had to document with photos.  We only put out the little pool because we are going to be out of town every weekend for five weekends straight starting May 5th.  So June 4th we will put out the big pool!  Also this weekend we went shopping for some kind of outdoor furniture, but there wasn't much of a selection that would fit in our tiny little patio.  So we settled with this bench and pillows.  I actually love the bench and have enjoyed sitting outside while the kids play!

Soccer party

Today we had are end of the season soccer party. Richard thought it would be fun to have a snow cone party for the girls. I knew it was going to be a hot day so we went and bought tons of water guns and water balloon's. The girls had at least 2 snow cones a piece, they were a hit! Its crazy how 7 girls can go through 100 water balloon's in 5 minutes! The water guns were also a big hit, we brought a big bucket of water so the girls could keep filling them up. Lets just say everybody was soaking wet! What a great soccer season we had, all the girls have amazing talent. Also the parents surprised us with a baby shower! We got tons of cute clothes for Beckett, so thankful.

Dress up!

Both my kiddos love to dress up, seriously that's an understatement. Allison loves the Chipmunks and Chipettes. Cooper he likes anything Allison likes. Well the other day I heard the kids getting dressed and Allison came to get me and said that her and Cooper dressed up as Brittany and Alvin. I thought they looked so cute I had to grab a picture, hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Gestional Diabetes test

This morning I had my three hour Gestational Diabetes test. You have to fast from midnight on, no breakfast and when you arrive the lab technician test your fasted blood sugar level. After you drink the glucose drink and then every hour for the next three hours they test your blood. The fruit punch glucose drink was terrible! About the only cool part of the whole long process was there were two other ladies taking there three hour test too, so we got to keep each other company. After my second hour test, I got to leave because I had passed my three other blood test. I PASSED!! I was so relieved, I thought for sure I would have GD because with my luck and it being my last pregnancy. I was seriously shocked! Also when I arrived at the doctors office I went to the bathroom washed my hands and realized I didn't have my wedding ring on!!! Thankful when I went to have lunch with my mom, she found it! Some how in the middle of the night it fell off? Such a sense of calm passed over me today, I felt such a weight lifted knowing that I don't have GD, and know I am going to try and enjoy the rest of this pregnancy. Although Its time to focus on Allison birthday party, I booked the place and the jumper! Cant believe I am going to have a seven year old!

Soccer game and Bridal shower

Saturday was a full day. Allison had her last soccer game of the season. It was actually a pretty windy day, the ball was being blown all over the field. We were missing a couple of our girls, one of them fractured her arm. We won the game 4-0, which means we had a undefeated season!!! I am a little relieved soccer season is over. We get our Saturdays back, and no more soccer practice during the week. Allison is bummed soccer is over, but we are hoping to find some soccer camps this summer for her. After the game we left to Midland for my niece's bridal shower. Allison was so excited about going to the shower, I think she felt very important. My sister in law out did her self, the shower was just beautiful! I think my favorite part of the shower was the video montage of questions and answers from the groom to be. Allison's favorite part was wining the bingo game. I include a picture of Allison and Richard at the soccer game and Allison and the bride to be!

Dr appt

Friday Cooper and I drove into Midland for my doctors appointment. This appointment was the dreaded gestational diabetes test. I felt like it was a totally waste going, I failed both test with my other kiddos. I actually gained two pounds, and baby's heart beat sounded great. Like I feared I failed the test and have to go back on Wednesday to take the three hour test. Also my iron level was dangerously low, according to my nurse so know I have to take a huge iron pill every day. They also scheduled me for my 30 week sonogram on Allison's birthday go figure. After my appointment Cooper and I had lunch with one of my best friends and her 6 old son. It was so nice to catch up with her, I seriously enjoyed every minute. This picture was taken of me on Easter Sunday at 27 weeks.

Easter 2012

We started off our Sunday with baskets from the Easter bunny. The kids scored a lot of goodies but I didn't get very good pictures. After breakfast we went to church, it was such a lovely service with such a beautiful musical number. After church we headed to my in laws for a bbq lunch and Easter egg hunt. It was such a beautiful day I could have sat outside all day. For dinner we went to my moms house. Richard grilled some hot dogs and hamburgers and later we had another egg hunt! It was a wonderful weekend spent with family to celebrate the life and Resurrection of our Savior.

Fiday and Satuday adventues

After Richard got out of work on Friday we headed into Midland for the long weekend. When we pulled into town we grabbed dinner then headed to my sisters house. My sister hosted a little slumber party at her house with my nephew and my kiddos. We left our kids and went out to the movies for a mini date! Saturday we did a little shopping, tried to get Allison flower girl dress fitted, and had lunch with two of my sisters and mom! For dinner we went out with my entire in law family, to celebrate before hand my nieces fiance commitment into the Catholic religion. After dinner we went to the Saint Ann's Easter vigil. Unfortunately we only made it an hour into the service. Although I really enjoyed the mass, the flower arrangements, and the musical interludes. I didnt get many pictures because my camera died.

Ward easter egg hunt

We meet with some friends from church at the park for an egg hunt and sack lunch before we left for Midland. The weather was nice at first but got hotter as the day progressed. The kids had a blast hunting for eggs and playing at the park with the friends.

Pregnancy thoughts

I use this blog as a means to update and to journal our life. Lately I felt the need to post about my pregnancy. This pregnancy is very similar to Allison's. I loved the exact same foods; Rosa's, milkshakes, and frosted flakes! Beckett is very similar sleep patterns and movement patterns as Allison. I would have totally thought this baby was a girl if he wasn't so low. The first few months of pregnancy is miserable for me because how sick I am. The last several weeks of pregnancy is miserable because of how big you are. They call the second trimester the honeymoon period because your not sick or huge. There was a period from about 16 weeks tell about 24 weeks where I was pretty comfortable and happy. I will be 27 weeks on Saturday and I am uncomfortable. I think I am mainly uncomfortable because my back hurts so bad and I suddenly feel huge! I am trying to enjoy this pregnancy because its my last. I enjoy Beckett's little kicks and nudges. There is something very interesting about having a craving and satisfying it! I love how interested the children are, Cooper told me the other morning "Mom Beckett is growing I can see your belly its big!" Cooper took this picture of my belly with his little shadow cover my belly, I know its not the best quality but I thought I would share.

New shoes

Allison loves her new skate shoes! She wears them all the time, skating through the house. We have been going on nightly walks just so Allison has a chance to practice in her skate shoes. I had to grab a picture of Miss Allison in her shoes.

Saturday activities!

Saturday morning Allison had a soccer game. It was a hot day, thank goodness for the shade! We started off the game a little off I think the girls weren't use to playing in the heat. But we turned the game around and the girls won the game 5-1. Allison got knocked down pretty hard during the game she must have landed on a rock because she had a pretty good scrap on her lower back. But it didn't take Allison long to tough it out and get back on the field and she scored the last goal of the game. After the game we headed into Midland for a couples wedding shower for my niece. The shower wasn't tell later that night so we ran around town. Cooper got fitted for his tux for the wedding, cant wait to see him in his little tux! We also took Allison to the mall so she could spend the money she had been saving to buy her a pair of hellie skate shoes. Of course mom and dad had to make up the difference so Allison could get her new skate shoes. Its been an interesting few days watching her try to use the shoes. My mom watched the kids for us and Richard and I headed to the couples shower. It was a wonderful event which literally starts of the next few weeks of wedding events! I am so happy for my niece and her fiance, it is such a special thing to find your soul mate and for them to start this journey in life together. They are just the cutest couple!

Week review

Last week was a full week of: a Monday soccer game, taking a meal to a friend from church who had a new baby, a church gather/dinner of all the women to celebrate our organization, soccer practices, watching a friends son, packing for our Midland trip, and another soccer game. Life is busy but I couldn't be more happy. There are moments in life when you actually realize how happy you are and how blessed you are. I couldn't be more in love with my sweet husband. He is such a dedicated father and husband. He loves and worries about his children. He is such a hands on father and our parenting relationship is a complete partnership. The love that I see between Richard and our children brings me such happiness and is also very different for me to witness having grown up with out my father as an active person in my life. My sweet husband goes out of his way to take care of me during this pregnancy and to do his part around our home. Richard willingly makes late night trips to fill my cravings. He is constantly worried about me over doing it. I miss Midland and my family tremendously but Richard has made my life so happy here in Hobbs.
