Another Graduation!!

My sweet nephew graduated from high school on Friday!! I have known my nephew since he was 6 years old, actually when I first meet Richard I thought Darrian was Richard's little brother. And Richard will tell you that he loves his nephew like a brother! Watching him grow over these past several years as been a pleasure and a pure blessing to be apart of this family. We drove to Denver City to attend the graduation Friday night. We got to eat dinner with most of the family and then we went to the graduation. It was short and sweet, the graduation was over in 45 minutes! It was a weekend full of festivities, we also attended the graduation party my in laws threw for my nephew Saturday night!

Last day of Kindergarten

Today was Allison's last day as a Kindergartner! Wow I am seriously blown away that my little girl has finished her Kindergarten school year! It sure had some ups and downs, but I have seen my daughter grow by leaps and bounds. She has definitely conquered some academic hurdles, I am so proud of her.

Allison started off her morning playing in the sand with her classmates! Cooper and I joined Allison for about half an hour. Then we headed to the Pepper Rally. This school year Allison was awarded four triple A awards (triple A for academics, attendance and attitude) for the school year and a certificate of achievement of 100% effort! Then we head back to the classroom for some shaving cream fun!! During the Pepper Rally the principal announced that the parents could take the children home, so half of Allison's class had left. Allison said her goodbyes to her teacher and friends after that I checked her out. We left the school and had lunch with Richard's parents!

Take me to the ball game!

Last night Chevron took all the trainee's to the Rockhounds game. We had some tickets we had purchased from my nephew's t-ball team, so the kids and I joined Richard. We had a great time at the game! I got to meet some of the people Richard has been training with. The kids ate plenty of food from hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, peanuts, cookies, and cotton candy! They enjoy the play grounds too!! We even got to enjoy some of the game. A gentleman that caught a ball was so sweet he gave it to Cooper, and boy was he proud! The weather wasn't to bad either, in all it was a fabulous night! Oh and ignore the date on the pictures, not sure what happened there!

Field Day

Allison had her first field day yesterday!!!! And what a full day it was!! Field day was full of events like the potato sack race, oatmeal marble race, and water races etc!! It wasn't the most organized field day I've been to but Allison had a blast!! My wonderful mother in law and sister in law came to watch Allison!!! The school does not keep score, so there are no losers! When I asked Allison what her favorite event was she told me it was the potato sack race, which she competed in at least 5 times! And many thanks to my sister Courtney for watching Cooper for over 4 hours, just so I could be with Allison all morning!

Sunday Activites

Today we went to the Graduation Mass for my nephew! So glad he was able to participate. I know it meant alot to my Mother in law, because she spent many years taking my nephew to his church classes and boy scouts meeting/activities etc! It was a wonderful meeting, they even recognized my nephew during the Mass. Although Cooper could have behaved better he was just wild! But it was important for us to be there. We even got to spend the whole afternoon with my nephews and nieces! My kids were in heaven playing with there cousins! We are so blessed with such a wonderful family!

Kindergarten Program and other things...

Thank you for putting up with my picture overload! Today was Allison's Kindergarten Program. The program exceeded my expectations, what a wonderful program. We were able to get fabulous seats, thank goodness because we had an amazing view of Allison. Poor Cooper missed his nap so he slept through the first half of the program, then he woke up in a wonderful mood! I was just so proud of Allison, singing and participating in all the songs. Allison had this goofy smile on her face, like she was proud that almost all her family showed up to her program! I was just in heaven watching her, Allison even memorised her part perfectly. I am practically speechless about how supportive Richard's family is when it comes to anything for Allison. Its overwhelming to me because my whole life it was just my mom and my two Aunts and since my Aunts lived so far away and my mom worked they were unable to come to any of my functions. I feel so blessed to have such a big family who supports us.

After the program we took the kids to the duck pond! What fun we had! Allison rode her scooter around and we feed the ducks, until we realized there was sign suggesting not to feed the ducks oops! Cooper even got really brave and would feed the ducks right out of his hand, Allison was to chicken! We even saw a few dozen turtles!!! After the duck pond we left to run a little more energy off at the park! We didn't last to long, it was hot and windy but the kids had fun for a short while! We had told Allison after her program we would take her to dinner, she picked Chili's because she loves there milkshakes! Its funny how both my children love milkshakes! If anybody knows me, you would know how much I love milkshakes its my one and only weakness. I am not a candy lover or cookie lover, but I LOVE milkshakes and often indulge in them while pregnant with the kids. Everywhere we go Cooper ask for a milkshake!!
