Busy

I am so proud of myself this month it was by far the most I have posted since beginning my blog! The month of October has given me many things to post over! Yesterday night we had our church Halloween Carnival and what a blast it was! I invited my little sister and her son to attend. I started off the hectic evening making cupcakes for the cake walk which I didn't start until an hour and half before the event, ugh! I had put a brisket in the oven earlier thank goodness, plus last minute costume repairs made for an interesting evening before heading out the door! We had a great time with the kids, my nephew and my in laws. Lots of games, candy, popcorn, and pumpkin carving!

~Pickles~

Yesterday we were having Internet problems again! I wonder what it is with this house but I have had to call out provider 4 times this month! Durning that time I had the computer sitting out next to me and I guess it had timed out and Richard has it running to show a slide show of any pictures we have saved on the computer and Cooper saw tons of pictures and thought it was so cool and started calling out people he new Daddy, Alli, Ryu etc. Well Cooper saw a picture of himself and I say "Who is that?" Cooper said "That Pooper!" I died laughing hummm looks like we need to practice pronouncing your name buddy! So yesterday while I was working on the laundry, which was quite a bit since Richard was sick the day before. I heard Cooper calling something out to me and wasn't sure what he said so I yelled back to hold on. The kids refuses to go into the garage because he is deathly afraid of the dark since watching Thomas the Train Halloween DVD.... Anyway I walk into the kitchen to see him with a chair standing in front of the fridge wide open with a spatula in hand! I ask him what he was doing and he replied "I want pickles!"

Soccer game and a loose tooth

Allison started feeling better yesterday about 10am even asked to eat lunch. So we started out with ice and moved up. And by the end of the day she was playing in her room kept down lunch and dinner we bathed her and off to bed. She woke up this morning in such a great mood so I let her go to school and she was begging me to let her play in her game tonight and I said okay. Well early this am I hear Richard in the bathroom! Poor guy dont know how he got the bug, the man was at work from sun up and and at school until sun down! But still he managed to get sick and so I guarantine him to our room all day and Cooper and I ran errands and kept busy while I disinfected Allison room and washed her sheets. Later on today on our drive to Allison soccer game she squeals and tells me she lost another tooth!!!! I am sure it wont be long for more her two front teeth are loose too! Well the bumble bees won there game sorry I don't know the score I was busy chasing after my saggy pants son since daddy was stuck home. Hope you enjoy the picture!

Manic Monday

My poor Alli-cat woke me up at 3am this morning telling me here tummy hurt and she need to throw up. She walked to the bathroom vomited washed her hands and face and walked back to her room. It amazes me how grown she has always been about being sick, and it probably has a lot to do with hardly ever being sick too. Last time she had the stomach bug was last year and that time she just went and threw up by herself in her bathroom and walked back to bed and the only reason I heard anything was because in our old house you could hear a penny drop loudly! And the first time Allison had the stomach bug was when she was 19 months old and I remember her holding her lil hair out of her face and vomiting in the bathroom like it was no big deal! I am truly blessed she has always made it to the bathroom so far because this mama has a bad and I mean BAD gag reflex! I am just hoping it doesn't run its course through our family, I mean if we all survived last year when Richard got the flu which is ironic because it was exactly a year ago today, surely I can keep Alli away and everything properly sanitized. I just feel horrible that Allison might have infected others, like her cousins or friends at church yesterday. Anyway Allison is napping for the moment and Cooper is running around destroying the house, is it mama's nap time yet???????

CJ

Have I mentioned that I have a two year old? I am sure you have read that I affectiontly reffer to my son as the blue eyed demon. Some days are longer than others and this sweet lil two year old tries my patience some times, and he is also so clumpsy too. Yesterday in one hour Cooper James cut his lip, threw a medillion at his eye, fell and hit the ground which caused a huge red bump in the middle of his head! Although sometimes Cooper is a hand full but on a rare occasion he has a geniune sweet side. Today after he woke up from his nap he climbed into my bed laid with me and we cuddled for about half an hour the longest he has stayed still as far as I can remember. I'll never forget being pregnant with this lil guy thinking do I even know what to do with a son and some how we have managed thus far.

Good morning kisses

Richard has been working with Chevron in Eunice New Mexico since July, poor guy has to wake up at 4am and be there by 5:30am lots of driving and early mornings. Although we are greatly blessed that Richard is with Chevron. Every morning before Richard leaves for work I get a good morning kiss good bye, some times I am slightly awake for it and other times I am startled by his kiss. That moment in the day is one of my favorites its the calm before the storm. Every morning I wake up Allison 15 minutes early so she can come to my bed and snuggle and chat with me before we begin the rushed get ready for school morning! One morning she begins to tell me something, in her words "Mom you know what happened this morning?" I ask her what. "Daddy woke me up to give me a kiss good bye, this morning." as she is telling me this she has a huge smile on her face. I tell her, oh yeah Daddy gave me a kiss good bye too. "Oh really mommy, he gives me a kiss good bye every morning, I love daddy!" then as she is staring at me she startled me with statement. "Mommy did you know your eyes are GREEN!" I laugh like she had never noticed before, but okay we will chat about it. I tell her my eyes are hazel and some times there green or golden brown. "Mom that is soooooo cool!" Later on that afternoon I questioned Richard and told him I didn't know he was stealing a kiss from Allison and I each morning and he replied. "You know I have to kiss both my girls by every morning!"

Open house

This picture was actually take in 07, I was pregnant with Cooper here
but didn't know yet.

Tonight was open house at Allison's school. We dropped Cooper off at Grandma's and headed out to Allison's school. It was really nice to go with Richard and just Allison so we could focus on only her. Her class room was all decorated with things they have worked on lately. Allison was so excited to show us around her classroom, she was literally beaming with excitement. We walked around to each center, her cubby, her seat, we saw every part of that classroom. I signed up for a conference with her teacher for next Monday and then we left to the book fair where we bought Allison a book and ended our trip at the cake walk where Allison won some cupcakes!!! I really enjoyed the time with Allison and Richard it was special. It reminded me of a time when it was just the three of us, boy times have changed and our daughter is growing up.

October

Not only do I love fall, but I love the month of October! We have so many events going on it makes for some interesting memories and picture moments! For the last several years I have allowed Allison to pick her own costume and in some way or another it has been pretty much home made! When she was two she wanted to be a cat, so we bought her a black leotard and tights I made a tale and her ears then I paint her nose black. When Allison was three she wanted to be a ballerina and I bought her a pink leotard and pink tights and made her tu tu. Last year Allison wanted to be peter pan, so we order the top and the bottoms I couldn't for the life of me find green tights. So I bought white tights and found dye and dyed them green, boy that was interesting! And then I made her hat with feather and all! This year we are going more generic, Allison wants to be Jessie from Toy Story, so we bought a costume and boots to go with the outfit and I making her red straw hair to match Jessie's hair. And Cooper is going to be a lil army man, that is if his costume comes in in time. I also painted a toy gun camo and a hat, and were also going to paint his face. For the last several weeks Allison has seen a few house's that have been decorated for Halloween and has asked me when we are going to decorate. I never really have decorated my house for Halloween, besides a pumpkin and our wreath so this year I gave in and agreed to buy under 10 dollars whatever Allison wanted to decorate the house. So the Sanchez family rolled up there sleeves tonight even lil Cooper and we decorated out lil house with spider webs and spiders, tiny light up jackolantern's, and our good ole wreath.

Nicknames

ME and Ann

Yesterday while I was finishing my post I was thinking about nicknames. My sister Courtney and I have nicknames for each other. If you noticed I call my sister Ann. My sister's name is Courtney and her middle name is Ann. My sister and I have always called each other by our middles names for as long as I can remember my middle name is Nicole. When we were little and had great imaginations we would cook meals and pretend we owned our own restaurant called Nicole and Ann's place. It's fun to think about the past even as adults we still love to get together and cook! When we were younger my sister and I always said when we had daughters we would give them each others middle names, so when my daughter entered the world I gave her the name Allison Ann. And some years later when my sister welcomed the birth of her second child a daughter she name her Hailey Nicole. We have several nicknames in our family for example my baby sister Heather I call her Feather and my sister Jamie well I call her J. My Aunt Ruthie has a few nicknames, fu fi and cha cha. When I was pregnant with my children I specifically named them for nicknames. Here our my kids nicknames, there are a few!!

Allison~ Alli, Allison Ann, Alli-cat, Alli-o, Alli-ba ba, love bug, Richard Jr

Cooper~Coop, Cooper James, CJ, Cooper Booper, Booper Bear, Booper James, baby blue eyes, and blue eyed demon

I consider nicknames as an affectionate way to call your loved one and a fun way to show your love. Not only is my nickname Nicole or Nic but alot of my friends call me Stac. Oh and my mom she calls me Nic too or Nic at night. Do you have a nickname or have nickname for your kids, please share........

~Ann~

ignore the date, Cooper was playing with camera

I love bake/craft day with my sister! A few years ago (wow has it been that long) my sister watched my newly 2 year old daughter Allison for me with her newborn son while I finished up my degree! At the time bake day was on a Wednesday and we really only focused on dessert type baked entrees. The years have gone by and I now have a newly two year old son and my sister has a nearly two year old daughter and her once newborn son is 3 and my daughter is now in kindergarten! And bake day has turned into adding a particular craft and advancing to french bread etc! I was truly blessed when my sister entered the world 13 months after my own birth because I gained a life long friend. Courtney Ann, "my Ann" is my best friend, I love you the mostest Ann!

Wow, last week was crazy but super fun! My sister flew home on Wednesday from her nearly two month visit to our beloved Aunties, YAY I missed her so much! Thursday was my Mothers birthday. For my mom's birthday we meet her at the mall for lunch!! My sister's and I pitched in to buy my mom a coach gift card and let her shop at the new coach store in the mall. After our mall adventure we meet up later after Allison got out of school for dinner and for dessert a made from scratch lemon miran pie. Friday I had lunch with Allison at school. Richard came home and then we had dinner with Richards Parents. Saturday we had two soccer games, the girls lost there first game by one point 8-7 and then we won our last game 15-0, poor thing was exhausted. Sunday we went to church and came home to watch the cowboy's game. Another busy week ahead!

Wacky Wednesday

Have I mentioned I love Wednesday!! We have no soccer practice no where to be, I love planning something fun for the kids to do on Wednesday. We either plan a fun outing or come home and relax! Days that we relax we usually still do something fun either we bake something, build tents and eat pop corn while we watch a movie, or play hide and seek (I secretly love that game, or I love to out smart my kiddos). Today we decided to visit a park that is next to our new house and played there for an hour. Daddy came home and took the kids on a barbie jeep ride while I cooked dinner. Richard has class on Wednesday nights and tonight while I was washing dishes and getting the kitchen in order I could hear some rowdy noise what to my surprise my two little children dirty up that living room beyond recognition! So I thought I would share a picture of today and a few past Wednesdays, enjoy!!!!

car repair, soccer game, doggy play date, and a birthday party!

The weekend flew by, we were busier then I planned. Allison ended up going to my nephews football game with my in-laws on Friday. Richard and I stayed in doors rented a movie, ate a home made pizza, and lounged around with Cooper. Saturday was not planned to be so busy but it turned out to be. We need to get the brakes fixed on the Jeep so we were suppose to take it in to Sears at 10am but they were already full and told us to bring it back in at 1pm. Allison had a soccer game at 1:30, which the girls one 18-2!!! And Allison scorded 4 goals, she was so into the game playing defense and offense! Thank goodness Cooper was occupied by my mother-in-law and niece at the play ground during the game! After the game was over the Jeep was suppose to be done, but it turned out they had not gotten to it yet and would be another 2 hours. So we thought we would walk the mall and wait, although Cooper had not taking a nap so my in laws took him back to there house for a nap! We ended up waiting for I think 5 more hours because apparently someone walked out and quite and after two hours they had still not gotten to the Jeep. By 7 that night we were finally home and practically ready for bed! Sunday we enjoyed the day inside watching our church conference on TV. That afternoon we visited my sister and her sweet little Yorkie dogs and then we ended the day at birthday party for a friends daughter. It was a happy but quick weekend!

computer problems and funny storys

Slow week for me on the blog front. Our new computer is having CD drive problems so we had to send it in to dell so I have been using are super old computer since. It's been a full week either way: nephew soccer game, soccer practice, meeting with our attorney, and a committee meeting for our super Saturday activity at church. Our weekends have usually been so full, but we have a small break this weekend, although we aren't going to be sitting on our buts either. I thought I would share a few funny moments that the kids said and did.

Allison comes to me and tells me seriously "Mom I have a question." I told her to go ahead ask away. "Okay mommy, if there is air outside how do we breath inside the house. We need air to breath right?" I was a little taken back by this and tried to come up with the best answer to her question. "Well Allison, we do need air to breath and the house is not built to seal us in. We have doors and windows. With cracks that we can see some sun through, so were still able to breath. Does that make since?" "Yeah mom, I think so." And she just walked away.

After school Allison and Cooper where just playing in the house, running back and forth through the hall. I hear Cooper screaming and he comes running with his finger sticking out. I am thinking he hurt his finger, and what to my surprise I see poop on his finger! I turn him around and he has poop from the back of his diaper up his back. It looks like he tried to scratch his bum and went down a little to far! Gross!!! Here is a picture of both the kids, can you tell my kids like dress up alot!
