Things I love

Some times when I am feeling down, or have a particularly hectic day, I like to count my blessings.  In each phase of our life I know those blessing can change.  But I wanted to list some things that I love right know.

1. I love cuddling baby B. There is nothing better than snuggling your baby, especially when that baby has no choice, lol!

2.  I love reading with Allison, its special time we spend together alone.

3. I love my husband.  I believe that Richard tries so very hard to give me everything I want and need.  He is my best friend and will listen to even my craziest concerns.  He surprises me with my favorite candy.  Or gets Beckett at his 2 am feeding.  Richard does anything I ask him, anything for the kids, ANYTHING!  He never complains always goes with the flow.  There is just so much I love about this man, I know with out a shadow of a doubt he was created just for me.

4.  I love the ride home with Cooper after preschool.  Cooper literally talks the entire drive home telling me every detail of his day.  I also love watching him practice/play soccer.  Its so interesting to watch him grow in this area and school.

5.  I love that I can call my sister Courtney three times a day and we still have something to talk about!  There has never been a relationship in my life like the one I share with her.

6. I love taking a hot shower with out any interruptions or time constraints.  Its been harder since Beckett's birth to do the most mundane things such as shower, get dressed in real clothes besides work out clothes, and put on or find my deodorant etc etc.

7.  I love long walks with good friends.  For the past month I have been walking three miles almost everyday of the week with a friend of mine.  Its so great to have girl time to chat and walk.  I am so very grateful for the friends I have made here in Hobbs.

8.  I love seeing the growth in my kiddos.  Allison has been having a hard time with school lately.  We have been working really hard to help in this area.  I had a teachers conference with her teacher this week and I heard nothing but GREAT things about my little smarty!

9.  I love my Beckett boy!  I honestly don't think I have enjoyed a newborn has much as I enjoy Beckett.  When Allison was a baby things were so knew, I was totally learning as I went.  With Cooper I was extremely flustered with dividing my time between two kiddos.  But with Beckett, I absolutely enjoy everything about him, even his cries and stinky diapers.  I am in love with his lil humming sounds he makes when he sleeps. Or the looks he gives me when I am talking to him.  And know that he can hold his head up, I love when he rest his lil head on my shoulder.  It brings tears to my eyes just writing about Beckett.

Today

I was reading one of my friends blogs and it got me thinking.  Since having Beckett I have had to find the new rhythm in my life.  Adding a third child hasn't been to difficult, just another person's needs to fill which has kept me pretty bussy. Some times I think I have life down then something will be thrown in my path and mess it up or complicate things.

I have such a hard time trying not to control and plan out everything in my life.  I would never have imagined the life I live know, and you know what that's okay.  My life is far better than I could have imagined.  Yesterday we had a little scare.  Two weeks ago Allison's earring back got lodged in her ear.  The earring some how during the night wiggled its way further and further in her ear lobe.  When the doctor tried maneuvering the earring it self out it pulled the back of the earring further in her ear.  Yesterday was her ENT specialist appointment, also her school conference, and two soccer practices.  Let's just say we didn't make it to everything on the list.  Richard got off early to be with us at the appointment.  It turned out I had to leave in the middle of the apt to go to the teacher conference.  Richard and I text back and forth, I was completely shocked when he told me after several attempts the Dr was unable to get the earring back out and they would be taking her into surgery with in the hour.  I began to freak out, all this fuss over an earring!  I left the conference and head back towards the Dr office. Out of know where the doctor decided to try one last time.  At this point we were set for surgery, the doctor decided to use a different tool and guess what he got that silly thing out of her ear!

When unexpected things are thrown in my life such as this earring fiasco, Beckett's digestion issues, or just an overwhelmingly busy schedule.  I am reminded through the bad just how blessed I really am.  I am trying to learn to follow the road that my Heavenly Father has for me and enjoy the ride.

Cooper's first soccer game!

Monday night was Cooper's first soccer game!  Lets just say he had fun, lol!  Its interesting how you forget how the lil ones play, running into each other and not focused on the game.  Cooper would literally check in and out of the game, hey he can only get better right.  The only thing I can say is that he sure looked cute in his little uniform.  Richards family drove into town again for Cooper.  We got to go eat before the game and enjoy the beautiful weather during the game, in all it was a fabulous afternoon!

Jamie's bday!

Sunday I drove into Midland for my sister Jamie's birthday!  My brother in law grilled up some tilapia, which was super delicious.  My sister Courtney made an amazing cake too!  I had a great time celebrating my sister and trying to plan are next few family events: Courtney's baby shower, my mom's bday, baby Clara's arrival, Thanksgiving, and Christmas!!!

Allison first game Fall 2012

Saturday was Allison first soccer game of the Fall season!  On the first day of fall no less!  The girls won their game 10-1!!!  Allison scored 3 goals and had one assist.  Beckett slept through the first half of the game.  Cooper enjoyed spending time with my his Uncle Manuel and Grandad. This year the girls have goalies, a bigger field, and some new rules.  Richards parents and my Sister and Brother in law came in town for the game and stayed for lunch.  We grilled some burgers and hot dogs and got to enjoy each others company.  It was a great day!!

And so it begins!

My crazy life with two kiddos in soccer with a ten week old baby has begun!  Yesterday started the kids first soccer practice.  This is Cooper's first year playing soccer.  Getting him dressed and ready made me teary eyed, yes I am that mom I cry about everything!  Soccer practice went well. Cooper has a short attention span, and is a little clumsy.  But he enjoyed soccer practice with his new coach and friends.  A little side not when we put Cooper to bed last night, he asked to talk to Richard.  Apparently he asked his daddy to help with his soccer skills because he was embarrassed at practice!  Aw, I could cry all over again!  My Alli-cat is of course totally excited about another soccer season.  That child has seriously been practicing with a ball all summer, and tells me during recess at school she plays soccer with the 4th graders and kicks there buts!

I on the other hand am not sure I am up for this soccer season.  That's 4 practices a week plus a game for each kid, that 6 days out of 7 we are out of the house!  We have games and practices running into each other, luckly one parent will be with one child at one event.  I worry about the day when Beckett gets involved in sports.  I am just getting use to being a mother of 3!  I am seriously lucky if I get a few minutes to myself a day.  I am busy pre preparing meals, soccer clothes/shoes, and laundry etc etc etc! I rely on my phone calendar for everything, because if I didn't I wouldn't remember anything!

Pictures

Yesterday I was trying to get a picture of the three kiddos and yeah that didn't go so well, but these pictures sure were funny!!!

Lubbock!!

Early Saturday morning we drove into Lubbock!  We had a lot to accomplish that day and surprisingly we did it all!  We started off at the temple, then lunch with my niece and her boyfriend, lots of shopping, the science spectrum, and dinner at Joe's crap shack!

A baby boom and Ann's birthday!!

My sister Heather and her boyfriend

Have I mentioned I started off a baby boom in my family!  Mr Beckett Paul is almost 10 weeks old and now there are three very important people pregnant in my life.  That's 4 babies that will be all with in 9 months apart or less.  My sister Courtney is due in October and being induced on 10-11-12.  My sister Heather is due April 17th!  Also my niece and her new husband are expecting in April too!  Babies babies every where!  Seeing and hearing about there pregnancies does not make me miss being pregnant one bit!  I am just so excited to shop for and then hold these knew babies..

On to Friday, we celebrated my sister Courtney's birthday while my sister Heather and I were in town.  As you probably know if you read my blog my sister Courtney is 13 months and 4 days younger.  There is not another person in this world that I love like I love my Ann.  The special bond that we share is indescribable.  I am so very blessed to have three sister in my life, each one of them is special to me in there own way.  My older sister Jamie hosted this little gathering and her hubby grilled up some burgers and hot dogs.  I know how important these events are, now that my sister and soon my mother don't live in Midland any more.  I really enjoyed the time we spent together.

Phases of life

A few weeks ago I was drooping my big kids off with my sister in law and seeing how quite and empty her house was got me thinking.  My sister in law recently became an empty nester.  I was thinking about life and how we all go through different phases.  Seeing my sister and niece starting off in there pregnancies and then my sister Courtney at the end of hers.  We all have so many chapters to our lives.  I fell like my life is just beginning.  I feel so complete with Beckett, its like I finally decided that this is my life and its time to live it!! Some thing happened to me when Beckett was born, it was like I had been waiting on him to come.  Its so hard to explain but I was living from one event to the next waiting on something.  I can honestly say I am the happiest I have ever been and I know just the direction my life is heading in.  I am a busy mom of three, who during the week rarely has time for a shower! But I wouldn't change a thing about my life, okay maybe I would like a chance to jump in the shower every once in a while!  There is a country song by Trace Adkins Your gonna miss this, its such an true example about living in the moment.   That is exactly what I am doing, cherishing everything.  Soaking in every moment while my kiddos are little.  Little quiet moments rocking my baby Beckett: looking at him, caressng his little head, and giving him soft kisses.  Because soon he will be big like his sister and brother and I will be in a knew phase of my life again.

Birthday!!

Sunday was my Brother in laws birthday!  My daughter has such a close relationship with her Uncle Manuel!  Allison had been planning gifts for him all week.  She literally made him 4 individual gifts.  I feel so blessed that Allison has so many special people in her life.

Reunion

Saturday was my high school reunion!!  We started the weekend off at a mixer at my friends Heather and Kit's.  Which, I probably enjoyed more than the reunion!  Saturday night we meet at the La Mission patio for the reunion.  It was so great catching up with friends I hadn't seen in years, literally some I hadn't seen since graduation!  So glad we were able to go.  Next is Richards reunion in October!

2 Months

Thursday September 6th Beckett turned two months old!  We headed into Midland for his appointment.  The little guy only weighs 10 pounds 9 ounces which put him in the 17% in weight, boo.  Beckett might not weigh much but he sure is tall 25 3/4 inches long which put him in the 90% percent in height!  His doctor up his reflux medicine and is still concerned about his weight.  Also the hernia in his belly button is worse, which has the Doctor concerned.

Beckett is smiling now, usually only for his daddy!  He talks constantly, even the doctor was surprised how much he was talking during his appointment.  Also Beckett has been trying so hard to roll over.  He has only done it a handful of times, but I am sure he is on the way to get that down!  He actually rolled over at the doctor's office, boy was he surprised.  Beckett is waking up twice a night still, which is okay because we have to give him meds at 3am anyway.  I am so thankful he is a much better sleeper than his big brother.  He still loves to be swaddled and hates to be cold!  Our new favorite thing is his rock and play, which is in the above pictures.  The coolest baby invention ever!!!!  It totally helps with his reflux and allows him more time to sit up and digest!  That thing goes every where with me.  We are so in love with this little guy, I cant imagine my life with out him in it.  He brings me so much joy, I haven't been this happy in a long time.

I LOVE PINTEREST, its amazing!  I was not really into pinterest when I was pregnant with Beckett.  I actually didn't have a single desire to craft or cook!  But since having my lil guy, my creative juice' have come back in full force!  I have been baking recipe's from pinterest non stop and I have not made one recipe that we didn't love!  I have so many crafts in the works for baby B!  I also found a bunch of preschool activities for Mr Cooper James to work on.  I could go on all day about my love for Pinterest!!!!

Beckett's Blessing

Please keep in mind I created this blog to update family but it is also a journal/book for my children.

My baby B how very thankful I am that you are apart of our life.  You came to me after a devastating miscarriage.  I needed you and I know you needed me.  You healed my heart and brought such a sense of peace I had never experienced before in my life.  I knew something was missing in our little family and know that you are here I feel so complete.  I take such joy in all the little things I do for you.  Even your health issues cant stop me from enjoying ever ounce of you. On Sunday September 2 we had your baby blessing in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Midland second ward.  You were blessed by your father.  Many of your family members came to share in this special event.  Your father and I shared our testimonies and so did your grandmother and Brother Snow.  For lunch we all gather together and ate as you were passed around and loved on.
