Richard and Richard Jr

On Thursday night Allison had her first indoor soccer game. Lets just say is was a raving success!!! Our girls the "Bumblebees" won 22-0, that's right a total shut out or as the girls Coach called the game "total domination!" To bad we are going to miss two games while we are away in California. Allison scored two goals and nearly three more, but since we are playing indoor are girls have to get use to a.......... goalie! Which made for a very interesting game, I am sure we would have scored at least ten more goals. While we were at the game the funniest thing happened a mother from the other team heard a girl calling for her mom and she looked out I guess trying to pick the right parent came to me and said your daughters calling for you so I walked to the back and saw wait for it......... not my daughter a white child with glasses? I laughed told the women that the child was not mine she replied "OH!" Which is your daughter, I laugh number 18, I receive another "OH!" and think yes the Hispanic girl with black hair that is the spitting image of her father that's my daughter! So I thought I would share a picture of the two identical twins!

A day with Daddy

What a Thursday we had!!!! Since our California trip is only days away I have been ever so busy trying to complete last minute task. And my wonderful children have been along for the ride! Today while I was out my darling husband watched Cooper while I took Allison on an errand. Richard was working on a chore that I had ask him to do "clean the bathroom" while Richard watched Cooper messing in the cabinet underneath his legs and thought nothing of it until he left the bathroom. So Richard followed Cooper into the hall where Cooper electrocuted him self trying to plug in my straightener! I am told Cooper had a shocked look on his face with a whimper then a full on burst out of tears! Shorty after we had a package delivered while Richard signed for it Cooper decided to get a snack so he continued on with this idea and pushed a chair to the counter across the kitchen pulled a knife out of the holder and climbed down opened the pantry (breaking the baby safety contraption holding it shut) and pulled out his Nilla Wafers and proceeded to cut open the package........... Lets just say this all happened not on my watch! Lets see Cooper was maybe a three months old in this picture, notice his shirt says Perfect~just like my daddy!

~Sick~

So poor Cooper was sick all weekend! We went and took the kids swimming at the in laws Friday afternoon and we came home made dinner and bathed the kids and Cooper ran into the living room and asked to watch Cars the movie. We set up the kids in our bedroom with popcorn (of course) and Richard and I set in living room and watch some of our dvr shows. And about thirty minutes later Cooper came into the living room and set in my lap with a sad face and he was burning HOT! I told Richard to grab the thermometer and both of them weren't working! Off to the store he went and about ten minutes later we had a new thermometer and Cooper had a 103 fever. We medicated the little guy and he laid with Richard and about half an hour rolled by and his fever went down and our poor baby feel asleep at 7pm. Fast forward to Saturday afternoon which was spent at one of Allison's soccer team mates swim birthday party which was a long three hours. After the party Richard's parents had invited us over for watermelon and ice cream and of course to swim. And not long after we arrived there Cooper walked over to me sat in my lap and was burning hot again! Richards mom brought the thermometer and Tylenol and about an half hour later the lil guy was eating watermelon and running around! So speeding up time again to 2:45 am Sunday morning Cooper crying in his crib and silently saying "oh, oh, oh, oh" I am think the kid got his foot stuck in the crib bar again and I tell Richard to get up and see whats going on. Sure enough another fever, this time 104! I turn on the light and my poor son is bright red, I take off his clothes but him in the bath and give him some Motrin. Two and a half hours later he is asleep and I tell Richard "looks like you boys are staying home and the girls are going to church alone." So Monday morning Cooper is up with another fever and I am on the phone with the Dr with and appointment for 11:30am. My poor guy has a ear infection and tonsillitis for about the fourth time this year, ugh. Glad we caught his sickness and got him in to the doctor because a week from today we will be in Sunny California!!! Praying Cooper actually sleeps tonight, after a lazy day inside as we watch all three Back to the Future's! Here is a picture I caught of both the kids watching the end of third Back to the future.

Stop and smell the roses

Some day my daughter wont wake up and ask for a good morning hug and kiss. Some day my children wont want to play hide and seek, as the find me hiding under Cooper's crib. Some day I wont hear I love you about a dozen times a day. Some day my lil guy will be to big to climb into my lap and ask me to "read me!" Some day my daughter wont ask me a million questions about where do cars come from, and how does a person build a plane, and why did someone build the mall, and how do the clouds stay in the sky. Some day my son will be to big to hold him in my arms and cuddle him back to sleep when he wakes up crying in the middle of the night. Someday I'll get all the "me" time I need and my house will be clean and quiet. It breaks my heart to even think about it.

Swim Time!!

So summer is seriously here with 104 and 109 degree temperatures upon us and not much to do to keep cool! We have literally been swimming everyday this week and the kids could not be happier. Allison is a little fish in the water and this year she is actually okay with her face getting wet and going under the water which is a huge improvement from last year. Last summer Cooper was to little to really enjoy the swimming experience but this year he is all about swimming. You say the word swimming and Cooper is trying to get naked! Richard and I have to keep our eye on our lil guy because he will just jump in the water with out a thought on his part. And Cooper looks so funny when we take him swimming because we put the life jacket on and floaties together. Thought I would share a few swimming pictures, one of Cooper and one of Allison with my nephew Zach enjoy!

~Poppy~

So another story about Cooper and Popcorn! Every Wednesday when Richard is at boy scouts the kids get to watch a movie and have popcorn with cheese salt. So I get the popcorn cups out and the kids are screaming poppy (Allison started this, she called popcorn poppy when she was little and still does. So Cooper calls it poppy too.) while I get the popcorn out and put it in the microwave. The kids get so anxious as we the listen to the kernels pop and when it dings the go nuts and scream poppy again! I pour the popcorn in there cups and add the cheese salt and both the children put there hands out so I pour a little on there hands. I give both the kids there poppy and they sit in there chairs and watched Nemo. So I deiced to run to the bathroom real quick, then I hear the kids fighting. I look out and there not in the living room and there in my room! I tell Allison to get off her brother and go to the living room and there I see the popcorn cheese salt in Coopers hand. He is covered in the salt its all over the floor and when I look back out into the hall there is a trail of the salt all the way from the kitchen to the bedroom! I go in the kitchen and see a chair propped up by against the counter and the cabinet is wide open! Gosh Cooper is one sneaky determined kid!

~summer days~

So we have been crazy busy these past few days. Had to take our family car into the shop for a few issues, like a huge nail causing a flat and then shortly after we had the missionaries over for dinner we dropped them off and our passenger window went "clunk" inside the door and need a new motor. We also got are roof replaced, gosh what a 3 day ordeal!!!! MY poor baby boy could not take his daily nap with all that hammering! Richard and I took Allison to go see the new Shriek movie in 3D, let me tell you that was interesting and a lot of fun couldn't tell you when the last time Richard and I did something with just Allison... On Friday I took Richard to the eye doctor in Odessa to get a prescription for glasses because the poor guy tears his cornea pretty much every time he put his contacts in! And that was a three hour waiting game, while we sat in Odessa with nothing to do! This weekend was fun, I took Allison to her Primary Activity day at church Saturday morning and then we came back home and washed both our cars vacuumed and all in the 109 degree temperature, crazy I know! I invited my mom, sister and her kids over for swimming and BBQ! We got the slip and slide out with the big plastic pool and all the water toys and watched the kids play in the water while Richard grilled some hamburgers, which my sister said were the best shes had in a long time and yes the were incredible!! My mom and sister were wonderful company and we never heard a thing out any of the kids! Sunday was wonderful, we had a perfect time at church and came home and reheated up some burgers laid low for the day and invited my nephew over for dinner and made spaghetti with a huge salad and french bread. I would have to say this week was wonderful!!!! I am taking my camera in to get all my pictures developed and make room for new ones, so here is an old but fun picture! Can you believe how bald Cooper was???

Thoughts of a now Five year old Part 2

So yesterday when we were at Richards grandparents grave site Allison thought she found Jesus. Let me explain. We were at Richards grandfathers grave and Allison ventured out a little ways and saw a grave and thought she would attempt to read it " J-EEE-SS, oh my goodness mommy I found Jesus grave" My child's mouth was wide open and I couldn't help myself I laughed. Richards family thought it was the most hilarious thing they ever heard. I walked over and read the grave to her Jessie _______ . "WHAT!" My poor daughter cried," Oh mom I really thought I found Jesus grave, Is he buried here?" I told her we would have to talk about that one later.

Okay let me try to explain this one, here I go. We were spending a semi unplanned girls night with my mom and my sister and Allison at the mall getting our toes done and watching my mom shop. My step dad had flown out of town for work and text my mom saying he thought his flight would be canceled. My mom said she thought that would happen due to the storm and my step dad text back saying he hoped it wouldn't get canceled because he couldn't sleep with out his doll aka my mom (his lil pet name for her) and Allison said, "What doll, Papa sleeps with a DOLL???" It was so funny, try explaining love/pet names to a five year old. "Grandma, why doesn't Papa just call you Grandma?"

That is all for today, hope you enjoyed some Allison stories......
