Cousin time

While we were in Midland I was able to spend some time with my sisters and there kiddos.  Thursday night we went to  my nephew Zachary's flag football game.  I was so glad we got to go to his game and watch him play.  After the game we all went to dinner at Fuddruckers and boy did the kids have fun, they were wild!

On Friday after my hair appointment I met up with my sister Courtney and her kiddos for lunch at Mr Gattis.  It was nice to get out and let the kids run and play with each other. I also enjoyed the little bit of time I got to chat with my sister.

Dr appt

I drove into Midland Thursday for my weekly doctors appointment.  All was well with Beckett.  It was a normal visit besides getting my cervix checked.  I was 3 centimeters dilated and 40 percent effaced.  Pretty typical for me, actually exactly the same as my 37 week check up with both my other kiddos! Doctor pretty much said dilation means nothing with out contractions and since he is going on vacation the end of next week he jocking told me to keep my legs crossed.  I would be ecstatic if I went into labor early but I doubt it will happen.  I am officially counting down the days, 12 more to go!!!

Father's day!

Yesterday was Father's day and we were in Midland to celebrate.  We gifted Richard with a huge car cleaning kit and hand made cards from the kiddos.  We enjoyed dinner at my sister in laws to celebrate my father in law.  We enjoyed a delicious dinner and drove back to Hobbs.  I cant explain how incredibly thankful I was to be home.

I am so thankful for my sweet husband.  Growing up with out my father present in my life, to be so blessed to have this amazing father for my kiddos is amazing.  Richard blows me away at how involved he is with the kiddos, how incredibly hands on he is, and how vested he is in there life.  I love you Richard and I couldn't have asked for a better father for our children.  I add this picture from 3 years ago, its one of my favorite pictures of Richard and the kids.

Swim Party!

Saying Saturday was a full day is an understatement!  We had two birthday parties and I had dinner plans with some girlfriends!  The first part of the day was for my nephew Zachary's sixth birthday at the Sherwood water park.  Allison was so excited about this party, she counted down the days all week.  Last year she missed his party because she had strep throat.  Thank goodness Richard was there because I literally had no motivation to move from my seat.  Although I did get out in the water once and watched Cooper play in the little area while Richard and Allison went to the big kid area.  We had a great time at the party and had fun celebrating Zach's birthday.  Later on in the day we went to another swim party for Dustin.  I went to dinner while Richard took the kiddos to the party.  I enjoyed spending some time out with my friends and I ate almost every bite of my dinner too!

Baseball Game

Friday night we went to the Citi Bank Ball Park for Chevron's night.  The kids got there jerseys which they immediately put on.  The BBQ was wonderful and we enjoyed snacking on popcorn, peanuts, cookies, and cotton candy.  The kids got to play at the playgrounds.  Allison was so into the game, she was dieing to catch a foul ball!  I was worried it was going to be terribly hot, but we had some serious cloud coverage and light wind it was prefect!

Dr apt

This past Friday I had my weekly Dr apt. Just the normal visit plus the strep b test.  During the Dr visit while I was suppose to urinate in the cup I lost my mucus plug, but must people know that has no real bearing on when labor will come.  No weight gain, I have never with all three of my pregnancy gained any weight the last two months of my pregnancy. Blood pressure low as always, and Beckett measuring right on schedule.  I also told the Dr how I was concerned about Beckett possibly moving positions and he checked he is still head down!  Dr also prescribed me some meds because I have a terrible sinus infection which is causing me alot of pain.  Next visit on Thursday, they were booked on Friday and my first official cervical check!

I cant explain how over this pregnancy I am.  I think with having a cold these last two weeks added immensely to my misery.  I feel like I am unable to function anymore.  The most mundane task seem impossible.  Especially having to pack a whole family once a week for my Dr appointments.  Belly gets in the way of everything like opening the fridge, getting something out of the cabinet, opening a door, or getting into the car etc!  Nothing really fits clothing wise, let alone how hard it is to get dressed.  I could live in Richards clothes and never leave the house if it were up to me, but the world still has to run.  And I would feel like a terrible mommy if I didn't keep my kiddos busy with some fun outdoor activities.  Beckett is still moving around like crazy, I feel like he wants to make his presence known! I am just beyond ready to hold this little boy in my arms!

Rockin!!

I know I posted about my new diaper bag but I felt like my new rocking chair deserved its own post!  Richard jokingly told me yesterday he wants to take a picture of me in the chair because I haven't left it since Saturday!  And its true.  I am at that stage in pregnancy where I am totally uncomfortable.  I literally could lay in bed all day, but with two kiddos around that's not possible.  When I had Allison a bunch of ladies who I worked at the bank with bought me a rocking chair for my shower gift.  Well it lasted a little over a year after Cooper was born, and it literally broke to pieces underneath me.  So I new when I found out I was pregnant with Beckett I needed to buy a rocking chair.  I cant not explain how much research I have done looking for the perfect chair.  With my back issues I didn't want to settle on just any chair, well I found the one I just fell in love with while we were in San Antonio.  And a big thanks to my mother in law who bought the chair for my shower gift, I finally have my chair!

The Ultimate Diaper Bag

Now that all our major events are over, the last few weeks I have finally been able to focus on getting the last bit of Beckett's things together!  Today I received from Mr FedEx a special gift that my mom and sisters bought for me, a Coach diaper bag!  It was so fun to sign for this huge box and to unwrap my new bag!  I know it sounds silly but I am in love!  I have been obsessed with Coach purses since my trip to New York back in 2007.  About six weeks after my NY trip I got my first Coach bag for my birthday and since then every year my sweet Aunt has surprised me with a new bag!  Well when one of my friends from church had her new baby she started to carry around a Coach diaper bag.  Which I didn't know existed by the way.  I was on a mission to get my own!  Time past and I never did buy my bag, although I cant tell you how many times Richard demanded that I order it.  I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money on myself, especially with all the other things we needed to buy Beckett.  Then a few weeks ago I was having a conversation with my mom about the diaper bag and she mentioned that for my shower gift she would love to get it for me.

Baby Shower

Saturday a few friends from church threw me a baby shower!  My mother in law and my mom and sisters drove into town for the shower.  It was a busy Saturday and a lot of my friends were not able to go but several people dropped off gifts, that I opened at the shower.  I even had people bring gifts to church and one person drop by my house to drop off a gift.  I feel so loved!  The shower was wonderful!  Beautifully decorated, great food, really fun games, and fabulous company!! I feel so blessed, and Beckett got a lot of great things.  I am just so ready for his arrival!

Summer

Even though last week was the first official week of summer vacation, this week we were actually home all week and will be home this weekend too! We have had a few down days of puzzles, tons of board games, making homemade ice cream, and brownies.  One day we went to the park with some friends and had a picnic.  Yesterday we went to the pool in Eunice NM.  I got a little lost and showed up pretty late, but the kids had fun.  I really liked the pool too, not to big and not alot of people.  Allison is so grown up, all she wants to do is go down the big high slides.  I let her ride the slide 5 times!  Cooper loved the kids play area, he also loves to float on his back! I am not sure if you can see Allison with her hands up in the last picture going down the slide!

MHS Graduation

Saturday morning we were able to attend my niece's high school graduation.  It was a wonderful ceremony!  I really enjoyed the Salutatorian and Valedictorian speeches.  I actually new the Salutatorian, his family goes to church with my mom.  I was so proud of my niece, I have no doubt of the great things she will accomplish in the future.  I have plans to come visit her in Lubbock while she is at Texas Tech!!  On a side note Richard made an interesting observation.  This was my sister in laws third and last child to graduate high school.  At each graduation I either had a newborn baby or I was pregnant!  Also my niece came back from her honeymoon in Hawaii bear gifts, Allison has yet to take her necklace off she loves it!

Weekend in Midland

Since the doctors office was booked on Friday they had to schedule me for Thursday.  I decided to stay in Midland since my niece was graduating from high school Saturday.  I was able to get the kids a new pediatrician.  I also had to take Cooper James to the doctor because he had been up all Wednesday night crying about his ear.  Turns out another double ear infection, on top of a sinus infection.  Friday morning I woke up with a soar throat which got worse as the weekend progressed.  Although I had a fabulous time at my moms.  I enjoyed my moms famous breakfast and she even grilled steaks on the grill for dinner!!  I also got to spend some time with my sisters and take our kids swimming.  Friday night the kids spent the night at my sisters they had a little slumber party with movies/pizza with cousins.  Richard drove into Midland late Friday and when he got in we went out for ice cream and then like bums went to bed early!

Dr appt

On Thursday I had my 35 week appointment.  No weight gain, low blood pressure, measuring good, and happy heart beat.  I was also able to schedule my induction date.  My Dr induces at 39 weeks which would be June 30th, which is a Saturday.  My Dr is actually booked Monday and Tuesday and there office is closed Wednesday.  My Dr said he was planning on going on vacation on Wednesday and Thursday.  So my induction is set for Friday July 6th.  I am a little disappointed because my due date is July 7th and I was hoping to have my lil guy in June.

I have never gone into labor on my own.  My water as never broken on its own.  So I am not sure I will go into labor on my own.  But this has been a different pregnancy in regards to how busy I have been and the fact my two other kiddos keep me on my toes.  Only time will tell...

No belly picture this time, I keep forgetting to take one, so enjoy a picture Allison took of Cooper!
