Bake and swim day!

Today my sister's and I planned to get together at my sister Heathers house. We decided to make strawberry short cake from scratch and then let the kids swim. Such an easy recipe and quick bake time. While we let the cake cool we decided to take the kids swimming! I had such a blast swimming, my sister even commented about how all summer she never seen me get that soaked! At one point I had 3 kids on me in the pool. It was amazing to see all the kids so comfortable with the water this summer. After about an hour and half of swimming we had ordered a pizza and then enjoyed the cake! I cant explain to you how good it was, I literally savored every single bite!

Weekend adventures!!

This weekend we had two birthday parties to attend. On Friday Allison friend from school had a swim party. I left the boys at home and took Allison to the party. I had a great time talking with adults, I guess I haven't had much adult interaction lately. It was nice and hot, and Allison enjoyed swimming with her friends. I actually think her favorite part was eating the cake and ice cream with her buddy's.

Yesterday we had another birthday party to attend. One of Richards second cousins turned 2. The party was held at the Mark park, but boy was it hot!!! Although the kids didn't seem to mind the heat, all the children ran around the playground. Also Allison and Cooper really enjoyed playing with there little cousin.

4th of July!!!

What a great lil weekend we had in San Antonio!!! The Zoo, The Alamo, River walk, and Sea World. I had so much fun with our kids, it was definitely a trip to remember. I am shocked that our whole trip went exactly as planned, perfection. I enjoyed every moment of this trip!!!
The Zoo was hot!!! But if you plan it right you go early as soon as it opens and when it starts to heat up you go in door and look at the exhibits like the aquarium, reptiles, birds, or butterflies. Then we braved the heat and saw the elephants, zebras, monkey's, lions, and bears etc. And I learned that Allison has an eagle eye! She could spot animals no one could see or find!!! Also I learned my kids can read and navigate maps! Both of them had serious options on what they wanted to see. The highlight of the Zoo trip for Cooper was the Train ride! It was amazing, I thought it was gonna be some lame short ride but I was blown away with all the information and the trails it took us on!!!
We got to the Alamo a little late so we didn't get to site see, but we walked around. The River walk was amazing it was around dinner time when we went so the weather was perfect and it wasn't to crowded. Although bringing the stroller was difficult but we managed! Richard and I have this tradition we started. We went to San Antonio for our honeymoon and took a picture at the entrance to the river walk. And every time we go back we make sure to take a picture in the same spot. Last time we went was in 07 and we took a picture with 2 yr old Allison! We were determined to find someone to take our picture this time with Cooper!
Sea World was the reason we went to San Antonio. We really wanted to do something fun for the 4th of July. Normally we are always in CA during the 4th of July. It was unreal how much fun we had there. Allison absolutely loves to swim. And we did swim for 4 hours, on two separate occasions. We saw many types a fish to name a few: dolphin, sea lions, and penguins. Richard and Allison rode several rides together, unfortunately Cooper wasn't tall enough to ride those rides so we had a blast in Sesame Street Town and we some how managed to make it right in time to see the Elmo show live. I have never seen my little guy so excited! We did so much there its hard to document it all. We ended our 4th of July at the Shamu show, and it was amazing, to bad Cooper slept through it all.

July!!

My two little loves. Its vary rare for me to capture a picture of Cooper let alone a picture with both my kids together! These two are inseparable they are quite the pair this summer. It amazes me what trouble they get into together. Just thinking about them makes me smile from ear to ear. This summer has been amazing and it blows my mind to think we've just entered the month of July. We are heading out of town to spend the 4th in San Antonio, and I plan to blog all about our trip!!!
