Hospital
What a crazy weekend we ended up having! Saturday morning my baby B was admitted into the hospital. It all started Friday night right before me left town when I noticed Beckett breathing funny when he was sleeping. I ended up sitting in the back of the highlander just to watch him sleep as he began to cough and wheeze in his sleep on the drive to Midland. Well we rolled into town late and all went to bed pretty late too. Through out the night Beckett began to cough more and more and eventually would gasp for air between and after the cough. About 6:00 am he began having these coughing fits. Then while I was watching him sleep he stopped breathing! I immediately started blowing in his face and he quickly started breathing again. I freaked out and called the pediatrician office and the doctor on call was calm and told me to bring him in as soon as they opened. Once Beckett was seen by the Dr, things became very serious. Luckily while the Dr was looking over Beckett he was coughing and stopped breathing again, but immediately started to breath. The Dr was concerned with the way his lungs sounded and after seeing how low his oxygen levels were he wanted Beckett hospitalized. When the doctor told me not to freak out, I tried to stay calm but inside I was a wreak!
Saturday: While in the hospital the nurses changed my baby into a hospital gown, boy that's when it hit me that he was sick enough to be hospitalized. His oxygen levels were going crazy! Which didn't help that they were trying to get an iv in him or blood work. And while doing that it would make him so mad and he would cough and wheeze! At one point when Richard left to go check on the big kids, after they gave Beckett some meds in his IV. I guess it startled Beckett and he began coughing and started that breathing fit where he stops breathing and I had to call the nurses in there! His oxygen levels dropped to 64! Know eventually his oxygen levels rise, but throughout the day they stayed consistently 88 most of Saturday. Poor baby was straight up throwing up mucus like crazy! While we were there Saturday they also took xrays of Beckett's lung, started him on breathing treatments, gave fluids because he was dehydrated, and antibiotics. The rest of Saturday was a pretty much a blur!
Its the strangest feeling to be helpless, and count on others to help/treat your baby. Seeing him in the hospital crib was hard. Watching them give him breathing treatments as he fought them, and would stare at me. Richard and I cried when Beckett was screaming as the had to try several times to get his IV in him.
Sunday: It didn't seem like the breath treatments were working. Beckett was fighting for air during his feedings, his oxygen levels would drop to 64 or 74. He would gasp for air and the milk would straight rush out of his mouth it was pitiful. My lil guy was barely eating too! After the on call Dr made rounds he came in and had a new game plan. The respiratory therapist would administer a different kind of breathing treatment. By Sunday afternoon Beckett stopped fighting them, and laying there to breath them in. We were also admitted for another night. We had decided to all stay in Midland until Beckett was released. So Richard stayed with the big kids at his parents and I stayed the night with Beckett at the hospital.
Poor Allison and Cooper really didn't know what was going on. By Sunday I could see it had taken a toll on Allison. She didn't understand why we just could take Beckett out of the hospital. Cooper I don't think understood at all. Allison actually colored Beckett a picture of our family to hang in his hospital crib. Days and and nights at the hospital run together. On top of Beckett's regular 8 hour dose of his reflux meds he was taking antibiotics, so nurses were in out giving those to him. Nurses were in and out checking his oxygen levels and the respiratory therapist would come listen to his lungs too. Beckett was having breathing treatments ever 2-3 hours also.
Monday: The Dr made his rounds early at 7am. I could tell at Beckett's Sunday 11 pm breathing treatment he was getting better and then at his 1 am treatment after the respiratory therapist tried suction his nose she was getting a lot less mucus. The entire night his breathing and coughing wasn't so bad. And at 8 am his oxygen levels stayed constant at 95 for 12 hours. Beckett's regular pediatrician came to see us and had the results of the xrays which indicated Bronchitis. Dr S is concerned about about possible asthma, scaring from reflux, and a floppy airway. Dr S wants to schedule an appointment for Beckett with a scope to look down his lil throat. Beckett also has a follow up appointment to see how he is recovering in a few days. We were sent home with a nebulizer treatment and antibiotics. We checked out of the hospital a little after 10 am.
Some times I think we forget just how blessed we are. I am so grateful for the wonderful care Beckett received at the hospital. For all the phone calls, text messages, and emails sent out of concern, love, and prayer on Beckett's behalf. And the sweet ladies here in Hobbs from church bring us meals this week.
Welcome!
My sister had her baby Miss Clara Ruth Huchton was born Thursday morning weighing in at 7 pounds 8 ounces and 19 inches long on 10-11-12! My sister was suppose to be induced at 4 am but barely made it to the hospital in time for the nurse to delivery the baby. My sister's birth story is probably one of the craziest ones I have ever heard, but that's her story to tell! I made in to town, to see my new niece and spend time with the new parents! I am so excited for my sister, there is so much love that a newborn baby brings into this world. Not to mention Mr Beckett Paul will have a cousin three months younger than him to play with eventually!

A double header!
Last night both the kids had a soccer game! My Mother and Father in law drove into town and we got to have dinner before the games. Cooper's game was an easy win, and I can tell Cooper is trying harder each game. Although I have to say how funny all the boys are, you can tell there attention spans are short. Some of the boys are swing there arms, rolling on the ground, or running off the field. Allison played so tough, my poor thing got knocked down 5 times! And has a huge bruise on her hip! The demeanor from Cooper to Allison's game is a huge difference. There are so many rules this season, we are having the toughest time with off sides! The girls won there game 6-1! We ended the night with warm showers and hot chocolate. Oh and Beckett slept through both games, thanks lil guy!
60!!
Sunday my Mom turned 60! I drove into town Saturday after we helped some friends move into there new house here in Hobbs. My sister Courtney and I took my Mom to the movies, which was so fun by the way! After the movie we chatted tell 10pm at night! Yeah yeah 10 isn't late, but this mama's bed time is early when my baby still wakes up at 4 am for a feeding! Sunday morning we all meet together for one last gathering at my moms house. It sold this past Thursday. On the menu my moms famous big breakfast, yummmm! I had so much fun with my family, it truly was a perfect memory to look back on. We played cards, look at the pictures of the new house my mom and step dad are trying to buy. Cant believe my Mom is moving!

3 Months

On Saturday Beckett turned three months old! When Beckett turned one month and two months it didn't make me to sad, but three months seems so big. My bitty baby is getting so big, it makes me want to cry because I see my big kids and I know how fast time can fly! Beckett has grown a ton! I cant wait until his four month appt to see just how much he has grown. Beckett finally fits in his three month clothes and the last few weeks I have been able to pull out some of his lil beanie's and jacket. We noticed last week that Beckett has a tooth!! My lil guy still sleeps like a newborn during the day and at night he only wakes up once! Last night I bagged up all of Beckett's newborn clothes, hats, and blankets that are all to small. Beckett is on pretty regular schedule during the day and night. I love Beckett so much and cant get enough of his smiles and snuggles! Also kinda off topic, I noticed last Monday that I hadn't weighed myself in a while and I am 1 pound under prebaby weight!

Walk or roll!
Another year has come for walk or roll to school! But this year I had to tag along my almost 3 month old! Pushing the boys in the double stroller was NOT easy as Allison tried to roller blade next to me, on a terribly paved street was no easy task! But we manged to make it to school and back and out a second time to pick her up and back. I am glad this is only once a year because boy is it tough and such a huge work out on top of my three mile walk!

Saint Ann's fair!
Our first date those many years ago, know has turned into a tradition we haven't missed in 13 years! Saint Ann's has a special place in my heart, and I love to support the fair! We didn't show up to the fair until after the shower at 7 and left at 10pm. My in laws took Beckett home and we stayed with the big kids. The kids had a blast riding a million rides, playing at the booths, and eating a ton of junk! I have a picture of all my babies with Richard's parents at the fair, I will have to dig them out and post them to compare. In all it was a such fabulous day!!!
