Alli-ism's and California days

My Aunt Steffer has suggested to me that I dedicate a few blog post of some Alli-ism's. I have been told many times that my daughter speaks like an adult.

Yesterday when I received our package in the mail from my Aunt's I got my swim suit with a bunch of other miscellaneous items and Allison promptly said "Mommy know that you have your swim suit we can go swimming!" I told her that we had a busy day planned for tomorrow and that it might be a few days before we are able to swim. And she replied "Well mom that is not acceptable." Her comment left me speechless!

On one of our slower days in California Allison Cooper and I were outside. Cooper was playing in the play house and Allison and I were laying on the swing. Cooper was playing with a water gun and came by and shot me. I thought it would be funny to play died so I arch back and laid down motionless and closed my eyes. Cooper thought it was hilarious but Allison not so much. She said mommy your not dead that gun is not real. I still didn't move and Cooper continued to laugh, Allison finally said "If your going to act died then you do not exist to me!!" I opened my eyes and bear hugged her and told her if I don't exist to you, then how do you feel about gigantic kisses???

I shouldn't bore you with more shopping trips but I'll be short about this day! Since our closet flooded before our trip to California I had lost all my shoes but one pair of flip flops i was on a shoe hunt! My Aunts had bought many walking shoes at this custom place so we started our Saturday at this shop. Its really interesting what they do, one of the employees takes to you the treadmill and ask you to walk and they have a camera recording on your feet. So I walk and they record me walking. So after a few minutes of walking the y play it back to you and describe your arch, your step and some other technical things I don't understand. I am a little embarrassed to say I don't actually remember what my feet were diagnosed with, but I walked out with two pairs of shoes, perfectly matched to my step!!! Then we headed to the mall to have lunch and shop. We stopped at a few shops and then ended in Macy's where i bought some amazing dress shoes and some Kenneth Cole flip flops. Some how we ended up in the purse section. My Aunt and i have this running joke about Coach purse since we visited New York (maybe one day I'll blog about it) anyway the had some amazing purses and a pretty good sale going lets just say I walked out of the store with a Coach purse that was calling my name! Then to the Clinque makeup counter, like I need to go into detail but I will I have very sensitive skin that I have to have particular makeup and lotions and deodorant. On our way out of the mall we saw this place that did eyebrow threading????? Lets just say my Aunt and I decided to give it a try. Interesting and not as pain full as waxing with a thread they pull your eyebrow by the root, well I am not even gonna begin to explain it but it was fun!! End of our shopping trip we stopped off to enjoy some ice cream at my favorite place Frosters Freeze, yummm!!!!! I am not sure if I mentioned the kids followed around in there two seater stroller and behaved wonderful until Cooper had a melt down at the end of our shopping trip, Allison only cried when she saw a soccer shirt and started whining about missing her daddy! I couldnt find a picture that went with this post from our trip, so I thought of adding one from last years trip to California.

  1. Kevin also spoke like an adult from an early age! I remembr once when he was two he fell through the back of a mtal folding chair and said, "I was not prepared to fall off of that chair". Seriously! What 2 year old says that?! Looks like you guys had a great time. I'm really gonna miss having you in the ward and Ashlee will miss her Sunbeam teacher!
