The Pappy continued....

So my little guy loved his pacifier. He actually called it his pappy. A few months before Cooper turned two I posted about how I had planned to take it away. Things got complicated we moved, Allison started school, Allison started soccer, and Cooper got sick many many times. Well cooper is on day 5 of no pappy! I took it away. It kind of happened on the spur of the moment. The week of Christmas I kind of decided I would try again to only give it to him at nap and bed time like several times I attempted before, but this time I was gonna stick to it! I did, and on Sunday Richard lost his pacifier. We were heading out to church and thought oh well we will deal with it when we get home. Well after a few hours of searching and nothing we decided he would go the night with out! Cooper cried for about 5 minutes, and fell asleep! Next night he did not cry but did ask for it. And here we are a few days later and still no pacifier, did I mention we found the pacifier that Richard lost actually we found 3 pacifiers the next day..... Cooper will occasionally ask for his pappy, and I just say he lost it and he goes on about his day. I guess we just whinnied our little guy of his pappy. Know to conquer potty training, definitely not as easy as taking the pacifier away!

This is the life!

I am really enjoying this little Christmas vacation Richard had a 5 day weekend last week and has a 4 day weekend at the end of this week. Allison being home from school has been pure joy. Most of the time the kids are getting along. The kids have been playing with all there new gifts, what a joy to see them enjoy them. I have been cooking extravagant meals, which I love! Sure there have been plenty of messes, I told Richard that I felt like I cleaned up more in one day then I normally do in a month. No major cleaning today, there are toys every where and were all happy! I am enjoy these special moments that occur in motherhood, this is definitely the life!!!! Yesterday morning we built an airplane and a movie theater with chairs, love this picture it shows how creative my babies are!

Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas we had! We started our festivities off at my sister in laws house for a fantastic dinner and opening all the gifts. Great food, great company, great gifts! As for Christmas day we always open our gifts in the morning, the kids had an absolute blast. Although my poor Allison had a pretty bad cough. Richard and I could hear her all night. At 8:00am we heard Allison coughing and woke her up and gave her some medicine and told her Santa came to visit us. We went in to wake up Cooper, but he was already up playing with his gifts from Christmas eve. And we told him Santa came and he cried and told us he wanted to play, when we told him he got his helicopter he ran into the living room! Cooper was so involved with his helicopter he didn't want to open any of his other gifts until he realized his helicopter didn't work. Allison probably opened her gifts in 5 minutes or less. It was a fabulous day we had lunch with Richards family, and the kids spent the afternoon playing with there gifts. I invited my little sister over for dinner, she made the ham and I made all the sides plus dessert. In all it was amazing Christmas.

Santa and Christmas lights

We have had a fun month of December trying to celebrate some of our tradition's. I thought I would share a few of those events.

Visiting Santa is of course a must! We first visited Santa the day after Thanksgiving. Last year Cooper was so frightened he held me with a death grip. When I tried to put him next to Santa for a picture he screamed bloody murder and was like a chimp and crawled to my other shoulder and held on to me for dear life! This year was a total opposite!!! Cooper literally ran up to Santa and sat on his lap. Allison of course was totally fine and happy to talk to Santa. Cooper looks at Santa and shouts, Helicopter!!! Santa seemed a bit surprised that both the kids wanted helicopters but has my daughter been the normal little girl, NO! That wasn't are only visit with Santa we saw him at the museum and we went back to the mall again.

On Wednesday night we took the kids to go look at lights!!! This year was so fun because Cooper was totally into it! We let the kids unbuckle and they set together and awed as we drove by every house. Cooper keep saying "Mama that a pretty house!" We even got hot chocolate at a stand by somebodies house.

Tis the season....

In Allison's words "Tis the season to be freezen!" She has been sing that all month! I laugh every time she sings that! I ask her where she heard that and she said Christmas is in the winter so I like singing it that way! It has been a strange month of up and down weather but mostly up! We have had many 80 degree weather days in the middle of winter! But it has been nice to be able to let the kids enjoy the weather outside. We have had a few Park play dates and many scooter and cozy coupe rides around the block. I am just enjoying it while it last I am sure the cold weather is on its way. Allison is wishing for snow for Christmas, lets hope she is not disappointed.....

Another party

It is hard to believe Allison first semester of Kindergarten is over! This past few months have literally flown by. Lets just hope next semester is the same. Today Allison had her school Christmas's party. Nothing to fancy just a book exchange and they decorated cookies. I thought I was doing good by coming to the school early, boy I was wrong that place was packed. I had a great time with Allison and I am excited to spend the Christmas break with both my kiddos.

Early Chirstmas

Because of my Aunts failing health my Mother is flying to California Wednesday and wont be back until after the first of the year. So we celebrated Christmas with my Mother, sister's/husbands, and all of our children yesterday. This has been a strange past few weeks. But we all pulled our selves together made a dinner and celebrated with each other and our children. I have to say even though things have been stressful with the roller coaster ride of my Aunts health I am even more thankful for my family.
